I have to agree with that MCGamemaster, this whole concept was a great tale to tell about the toucans.

The inclusion of the song was a perfect touch, showed a lot of consistency with Rafael's brief story from the movie. Shame Eva never got more screen time or development.

And furthermore, we can speculate from here where the story went in the timeline. Nice work, ending note implied they'd be more?

Nice concept you had here, everyone else (myself guilty) focuses too much on Blu and Jewel that they forgot about the other important characters. Learning how Rafael and Eva met for the first time was great, shame this didn’t lead to a full story, I would have loved to have seen more, their proper wedding, birth of their first children, etc. Great work once again.

Onward to the next one, getting through them like a breeze. So, we’re starting off this next story with another prequel, but this time, focusing on Rafael. Not a bad decision, always nice to shift focus from characters and explore other possibilities. Let’s begin.

Story wise, this was a good concept straight from the summary alone. When it comes to exploring character’s backstories, a good thing about an unknown origin is that it gives you the freedom to write a story how your heart desires, from the concept alone to the execution. Apart from feeling too short, I think you handled that concept well.

For my criticism, same as before structure wise, along with the possibility of increasing the length. I honestly don’t have anymore to write here, it’s a good concept with a nicely followed execution and that’s it.
