I loved this story! I hope to read more chapters of this. I'm glad you kept the intimate scenes a little more toned down because xiao qiao is a happy young girl(but i guess she is much more mature). and i would have found that awkward. Good descriptions of things. I kinda wish that you would bring a little more conflict between zhou and xiao. Otherwise really well done!

Oh my goodness I think I may have fallen in love with this fic. Now before I go off on a tangent and do my celebratory jig that I've found a totally awesome fic, I'll just give you a proper review :)

I really liked the interaction between Xiao and Zhou. You have captured Zhou Yu's intelligence very very well in how you have presented him and his speech. I think it fits the image that Koei has created, and it fits historical information as well. I absolutely adore your Xiao Qiao. You have made her very mature and very very intelligent, witty, cunning and just overall, totally kick ass in my opinion! Such Xiao Qiao is very rare, and very rarely well done so kudos with a capital K.

The use of proverbs were brilliant. Did you translate the chinese ones yourself? when I was reading I knew immediately which ones you were referring to, and it made me smile like this XD

In terms of writing style, well, from the first sentence you've captured my interest. I found that I read every single word in the fic, which is very very rare as I usually skim read when I get bored, which is quite often. Your descriptions does the setting justice, and I really liked how you've described Xiao as "brown hair and laughing eyes". I thought that description fits her like a glove.

In terms of plot, well, lemons are usually quite plotless, and crude almost, but I found this one shot to be very justified, and very scandalous indeed ~~ It fit in with the characters trying to get information off each other very well.

Recommendations? Goodness, I have to say that Yuu here is actually so speechless that she cannot even find one recommendation to give! Hmmm...no, still can't find one point that remotely resembles a 'flaw' of this fic. Hmm...I can't even remember a spelling or grammatical mistake to be finicky!

Overall, the fic was very mysterious, very intriguing, and the only disappointment I got was knowing that this is only a one-shot, so I cannot look forward to more chapters. My hats off to you, Niji Erhime! I hope to see more of your work in the future :)

What can I say,I'm a dirty perv when it comes to this stuff. But I really like this piece. When it comes to this pairing, people seem to forget that they were married and eventually had children...ere go...SEX. Er, sexual relationship would be the proper term. I blame how they portray the two in dynasty warriors.

Aside from that, I like how you made their relationship subtle. By subtle I mean not too mushy fluffy stuff. Not that I don't like that kind of thing, but its good to show different interpretations of their relationship.

I'm probably reading too much into this but...
