I love this it just seems like nobody has gone this way before with the series and I would really love to see how Shiro and Yukio find out! I know this will probably just remain a one shot, but I really like it!

This is... really thought out. I can understand the way that Rin acted in this, because that is the way some people do react to these situations. It would be really interesting if you continued this. I would love to find out how Shiro and Yukio would react if they knew Rin already knew the secret. I would guess that Shiro probably wouldn't break and get possessed by Satan, since Rin hopefully won't snap since he seemed to have a while to stew over this... Anyway, excuse my ramblings, this was a really good and well written fic!

I think this was a very good exploration of his character, one that's hinted anyways "I always knew that I was different..." And he does have a right to be mad.
I think that his anger is rarely (never) expressed because the first and only time we saw him let his more negative emotions show to another character (Shiro) caused his father to be possessed and then killed. I think that, in part, Rin keeps everything under wraps for fear of losing control of his flames and causing something like that again. We see in the manga that Rin does have emotional problems (he cries a lot more in the manga, has even contemplated dying). He can hardly do anything after his secret is let out, no anger especially, because then he's "demonic" and "dangerous". If he is anything BUT light-hearted and air-headed then he's considered dangerous, and he has bought into that as well. There isn't the support of people like Shiro to assure him, and past assurances are tainted because Rin knows he was lied to his entire life. With his and Yukio's initial confrontation Rin, if anything, is too overwhelmed by grief and guilt to feel angry at Yukio. Guilt for both their father's death and the fact that it was Rin who first gave him the mashou (sp?) that allowed him to see demons and pushed Yukio into becoming an excorcist so young. Rin is, naturally, a very self-deprecating person and he can't really allow any negative feelings out, so he can't resolve them with people, without severe consequences. And even with Yukio, who he feels more open with, he is restrained because Yukio is emotionally reserved and cuts off any attempt because of his own emotions. Rin, knowing this and because he's so sensitive to his own actions, doesn't push and just accepts Yukio's emotional outbursts with a smile (even when being screamed at and punched, or having a gun pointed at him).
It's really sad. Because everyone has this "oh he's a demon it's okay!" attitude, like...he got his foot cut off. With everything Rin's been through, in a relatively short amount of time after losing a parent and having the world of demons revealed to him Rin definitely has some truama going on.
ok wow this turned into a character thing, sorry...I really love the idea of this fic, wouldn't mind a continuation. it's going into my favorites! Hope to see more Blue Excorcist fics from you!

Amazing. I think Rin got over the fact that his brother and father knew about husband heritage all along a little to fast in the anime/manga.
