Then again, I was half expecting Yugi to summon Gandora or Silent Magician, as Dark Magician is more associated with Atem (even if it traditionally will always be in Yugi's deck-he probably keeps it there as a memento of his Mo Hitoru no Boku.)

Are you sure you aren't accidentally writing Atem here? Yugi is a lot more modest than this.

Oh god, while reading about them getting pissed at each other was fun, I want to see how this all adds to the time they face Dark Magician.

Don’t think about it too much, it will make your brain hurt life is a huge game too, we just don’t know most rules, and don’t play most of its “expansions”, and that’s why when you “cross the border” it feels like bringing rules from poker into a chess game.

At the end of the previous chapter and for most of this chapter, I love how you decided to use the lines to summon and the appearance of Dark Magician from Duel Links! It is absolutely amazing!
