So, a friend recommended this read to me and I've sludged through it so far hoping the plot would become apparent or start to make sense. A just barely fifteen year old who previously had only kissed is suddenly ready, consenting, and ok with having sex? A much older and presumably experienced man is just going to act like he is also 14 and not think through the consequences of his actions? The age difference and sheer life experience gap doesn't bother him? That only happens when men want something physicak and not lasting. I read your authors note from this chapter addressing a previous reviewer as being ignorant for criticizing your story. Well, I can also speak as someone who has been abused as a child, and it is realistic in the sense of her jumping straight into physical intimacy at a young age with no regard to her own person. But It is really horrifying to see Severus Snape go along with it and to read that he supposedly loves her? No. In the string of people I messed around with to try and feel safe, cared for, secure? Every one of those relationships were shallow and not because they were bad people, I was not in a good place and they were over thier heads. If you keep up with the realism, Severus will get sad watching her illogical outbursts as she copes poorly with living and reconciling her past and they will end up parting in some dramatic way. It is just so sad to me, imagining the abuse this Lilia has dealt with and now after all that she feels indebted to Snape and obsessed enough to do anything to please him. Including sex. Im sorry, It's just awful.

Forget the haters! I appreciate the fact that you have the courage to write a compelling story that acknowledges a truth that I am positive most women (and men) have at some point in their lives, experienced or perhaps even indulged. I can clearly remember being 14 feeling deliriously wild thoughts for my ski instructor who was 38 at the time. When I was 16, I experienced my first real snog with a man who was 29 after claiming I was 19. And now quite frankly, at the age of 27, I find myself immensely attracted to Alan Rickman (RIP), especially from his Closet Land era and onwards. I'm certainly not a deviant, I don't have a 'fetish' and nor am I some sick freak who should be ashamed. You, dear author, certainly are not either. Thank you for writing a story many of us can enjoy and to a degree, identify with. I love Snape's character. He's deep, broody and his emotions run deeper than any vapid hater could bear to imagine. With complexity comes complex situations and ideas - blurred lines, to say the least. Bravo :-)

Hello! I just wanted to give you my thoughts on your story thus far.
I'm having a hard time with her age, and the only reason that I've made it this far into the story is to pretend that she's sixteen and just turned seventeen. That's not to say that I disapprove if a large age difference (I am married to someone fourteen years my senior). I just have a hard time because that's just so young for not only a man to start kissing her, but for her to start wanting and making love to him.. especially given that only male, authority figure in her life up until Hogwarts physically and sexually abused her!
Despite what I've said above, you are a fantastic writer. I love how in character Snape seems to be and that's something not many people seem to be able to do (myself included). It's also fantastic that this is a slow burn story, because those are usually the most intense relationships. I also like that you are including little details from the books/movies. It's the little things that bring a story to life.

I'm a bit confused. She is in her 3rd year, and Draco is 2 years older than her putting him in his 5th year, but this all takes place during the Goblet of Fire, which would put Draco in his 4th year. Doesn't make sense.
