I like how you portray Snape. A lot of other fics make him a sexually inept warm hearted lost man. You give him the strength and selfishness that I imagine him to have. I do hope he shags Minerva!

-Cough Albus cough cough-but of course *Dumbledore* is *never* wrong. And Minerva will never admit that part, will she? Then again, Snape has a hard time with that too, though he's getting over that.

And so the game begins!

I bet that hundred-Galleon sack has traveled more miles than the roller-coaster cart at Gringotts...

He was at his most genial, focusing his attention on Severus with that single-minded, concerned intensity that had once made an awkward, bitter boy from Spinner's End feel interesting and important.

-Ah, yes, both his masters are good at this. So much that Voldemort said could easily have come from Albus Dumbledore, and Snape's attitude towards both is an astute wariness.

And I look forward to see the trap that lies in this assignment; Voldemort is awfully sure that Snape will never love Minerva. One has to wonder if Tom Riddle once had ambitions about that witch.

Aw... for some reason I really love this. Your characterisation is spot-on, and I love the way you allow the relationship to develop in a very quiet, subtle way. Also love that Voldemort is sometimes less hard work than Dumbledore!

Anyway, I loved this chapter! It's just so believable!

And I can't help but feeling a little sad that it's over so soon.

I can stand the no-ending ends, but I must admit (and I hope it does not sound selfish) that I wanted more. I would love to read far more than just this enticing four chapters.

But I'll cope. I can re-read them as many times as I need.

I've adored this noirish little tale one chapter at a time, and for once have found myself at a loss for words; every detail is resonant, not a word's out of place, and the evolution of both the personal/professional and sexual relationship between the principals has been marvelous. The inconclusive conclusion is masterful.

Oh yes, and the sexy bits are sexy. Very. Nothing like tightly-wound control freaks for serious, serious sizzle. They're evenly matched and extremely powerful, so there's nothing simple about the interaction, in bed or elsewhere. It goes without saying that you've avoided the yawning bear-trap of losing the characterizations in the heat of the moment. Every one of your sex scenes, not only in this tale but in your entire oeuvre, is about character development: in the heat of passion, as in the heat of battle, one sees what a character is made of.

I feel bad for not having learnt yet enough vocabulary, for not having the English level I'd like to, to write the review this story really deserves.

I could say it's good, nice, awesome, excellent... I'll honestly say it'll be a fanfic I''l re-read many times and I'll remember for long... not just for the plot, which was, as I've said in my other reviews, very interesting... but because the writting style was exquisit, specially in this last part... Writing a sex scene is one of a writer's hardest tasks... It can't be rough in style, but neither too delicate... I think your piece was perfect. I enjoyed reading it as a piece of art, and I think that's what we try to do when we write.

Well done. I'll really like to read new stories from you.

I'm sad that it already ends, but, anyway, it's your story and I really liked it! It's one of my favourite pairings and I think that you depicted them very well. I especially liked that Severus actually cared about Minerva and did not try to seduce her because of Voldemort's order.

That was very enjoyable, Severus and Minerva still perfectly in character.

The enumeration of the changes in Severus' life was perfect.

It would be good if they kept it a secret from Dumbledore. It would give them a good feeling that he doesn't know everything, and thus less power over them, and it might change the whole end of the story.

As you probably know, I like open endings. They give both the writer and the readers space to dream on.

One more excellent story.
