Definitely a somewhat more realistic portrayal of the series. The canon does tend to be understandably optimistic and really only skims the surface of a lot of the issues it touches on, but that is why it is so interesting to explore it further and dig into those issues. Thank you for writing and posting this!

I personally don't think that Zuko would be this angry and mean. Maybe in the start of the show he was kind of like this but by this part in the story he's not like that.

I'm sorry it took so long to review, but I didn't realize what this was when I was sifting through my Update box on Gmail, until now.

There's a small canonical issue: they're in the Western Air Temple, alone, AFTER The Boiling Rock. No Haru, Teo, and The Duke, either. Suki, Hakoda, and Chit Sang were there in the brief period between The Boiling Rock and The Southern Raiders. So it's all out of whack. May I request editing?

There was quite a bit of monologuing, but it was a satisfying conclusion besides.
