Interesting story. I'm disappointed but unsurprised that Septimus and Arthur did not consider how wizards could contribute to the normal world other than causing trouble (curing cancer?). Of course deciding that the UK wizarding population is only "several thousand" has many implications (e.g., the number of wizard healers in the UK is probably a dozen, like the number of teachers).

What he lacks in common sense, Michael Bay makes up for in explosions. In fact, every one of his films feature over 9000 explosions. He starts one scene with an explosion, then he follows that with another explosion. There is some talking after these scenes and some more explosions. Then he has a bunch of explosions along with more explosions followed by another explosion, which takes place before a larger explosion followed by a few more explosions and ends with the biggest explosion of the entire film. Everybody got that? No, you don't. Because then Michael Bay inserts another explosion before you understand the plot.

Finally got around to catching up to the most recent chapter. You story is still very good, even though i get feeling you going a bit to fast, to what i had expected.
Hope we get to know the reaction of the other people in the wizard world, specially the golden trio, to the muggles starting to interfere in the war.

Oh we nearing a clash, wounder how long it would take to spill over. I would like to see what Voldemort responds is going to be, to the attacks from the muggle military. He is probably one of the wizards with the best understanding of muggle weaponry afterall.
Growing up in a orphanage in the inerwar periode, And then when he went to Hogwarts, he would get sent back to London, that was dealing with World War 2.

And then Thatcher is here! economic policy aside, it going be fun to see how she would handle magic and all. In cannon i believe it was her that tried to push Fudge out a window.

And then we have the Falklands War creeping closer, wonder what influence that would have. Fighting at home and abroad is going be rough at any rate.

Don’t you love it when you find a well-written fic with an interesting premise, it goes on hiatus for 8 years, you consign it to the pit at the back of your alerts list where everything’s seemingly abandoned and you forget all about it, then it updates and you’re like; What was this? I am sorry I did not find this story earlier. It has a great idea, and a most likely one, too; I would be interested to see where you are going with this. Although I think Mr. Weasley got himself in some deep trouble here, in the wizarding world. It's interesting Mrs. Rowling never did anything or said anything about modern observation techniques like, say, sattelite pictures and flight and such; I doubt any magical cover bans would work against cameras, or block them out, so they would likely be able to identify places like Hogwarts and such. Or flying dragons.
