Muv Luv: One Last Time into the Loop ; Or almost 1000000 words of Shirogane making his love interests provide him with food to assert dominance.

It's a very entertaining fic. The rythm can be strange at times, and the intrigues are a bit intricated, but characters and POVs are fairly compelling.

Man, I wanted to reread some of my old favorites.

Was pleasantly surprised when I found this one on my list.

I remember waiting patiently for you to update this story, but I guess if there's no inspiration then there's nothing to be done about it.

Honestly, the story is just too childishly written. You have him able to use ENERGY IN HIS EYES and glaring dangerously at his enemies, cowering them from any action. Then you have SUPERSOLDIER REFLEXES and strength capable of sending a man sailing across the room just using his normal body. Where did any of this silly shit even come from? It's like you just opened a random manga one day and decided, "Hey, my character should have this!" and added it without any sort of justification or reasoning. It's extremely shoddy writing.

Then there's your main character's general attitude. Even repeating canon scenes over and over again, he manages to not change anything significant. He doesn't -do- anything. He lets people treat him however they want - like in this scene, he let Yoroi pinch and pull his face like he's a 6 year old being inspected by his grandmother.

He made a fool out of himself in public, getting beat up and /then/ beating someone else up, getting himself thrown in the brig. Is this the same guy who wants to rise in rank, become a leader and prove himself to the military? It seems like a silly child without a plan, running around doing stupid shit.

The only one who actually moves the story is Yuuko. Even with all of his knowledge of events to come and the people in it, he doesn't make any use of it. He doesn't speak to people, he doesn't further his agenda, he doesn't try to do anything. He's just there, like a prop, while the world around him continues to flow. He's useless.

But then again, I suppose I shouldn't have expected more from an author using shit like _ and -_- in dialogue.

#1 listed story in Muv Luv, yet not even written half as well as #2, which has a host of its own issues. What a joke.

So chapter 5 now, and all you've done so far is poorly reenact canon with a slight few changes that basically do not change the story at all. You've butchered the delivery of almost every line, even as you copied it, which is very impressive in its own fucked up little way.

You're continuing with his badass basement-dwelling neckbeard moments, and it's just destroying any semblance of sympathy for or interest in him. All-in-all, so far, he's just coming off as an annoying douche with severe mental issues. I'm quite sure that's not what you intended.

And you're still using this horrible writing style of injecting reactions straight into ongoing dialogue (What?!) and will probably continue to do so for the rest of the story. It's exhausting to read.

I'll try a few more chapters to see if it gets better, but so far, the writing is just so bad that I see no reason to waste anymore time on this.

Very poor writing so far. Even ignoring the lackluster formatting, you have the world and every character revolve around your main character. Yuuko is turned into a stupid person who just sits and repeats "Huh?" "Geh.." "What?" "Hmm.." and who knows what else, while Takeru sits there monologuing and tries to look badass. All it does is really just destroy both of their characters.

I'm confused why this is the top ranked story in this section. Maybe it's the length, because the quality sure is below average so far. Maybe it does get better as the chapters go on, but so far, I've gotta say I'm very disappointed.

So his first decision is to voluntarily leave Kasumi alone in the world, even having her help kill him - the only person she has left - the only person she cares about - and then tells her not to say bye, because he will meet another version of her in his new world.

What a dick.
