Oh man, what a brilliant, well-written fix-it fic. There's such a good mix of humor, romance, and angst in this, and it all fits Charles and Erik perfectly. I lol'ed so hard at "Lover's spat?" - too right you are, Sean! I love the moments when Charles finally decides to tell Erik about what Cuba and when they make love for the first time (although I'd assumed that's what they'd been doing when it cut to "an hour later"!). Really wonderful work.

This is amazing...I so did not want the story to end! Very well written...so concise and yet it said so much. I really hope you write more Cherik. Jenn.

I've become sorta a sucker for Erik/charles fix-it stories which is why i loved this soo much! One of my favourite parts was when Charles told Raven, ''You're beautiful.'' I couldn't help but think that if only he had actually told her, things might have been different. Anyway, this was brilliant and the ending was wonderful!

what a wonderful what if/fix up story.

i like how charles got a second chance to remedy a happening with so much consequences. i also like how he realized the mistake he made with raven, though he did it with the best intentions, and finally told her what she needed to hear from him. it was a short but very sweet moment between them.

poor erik, i can imagine him going insane trying to figure out what he did wrong to get the cold shoulder from his friend. it really isn't fair of charles to blame his friend for a crime he hasn't commited yet.

i'm glad at the end they manage to stay together without one of them giving up their beliefs. i hated the ending of the movie, i had trouble understanding how erik and raven could leave charles behind just like that even though he'd been shot just a few moment ago.

i know this story is complete and all but i'm hoping very much you'll consider writing a sequel to this or maybe from erik's pov.

I think I like Ian very much.

Was it because Charles, in pain, spread out his power so much that he actually used Ian's ability accidentally and jumped himself in to the past? I can see that happening, and therefore understand the reason for Ian's existence. Poor Ian, though, Charles' screaming seemed to have really hurt him.

I love how Charles' took to things uncertainly. How he didn't know what to do and he fumbled through it all. How he sent his and Erik's friendship to the rocks accidentally. I mean, Charles is very smart and charismatic. But he has that 'foot in mouth' disorder where the wrong things just come out when he doesn't have a foothold in to someone's mind to know what to say. As was seen in the beach scene of the First Class movie. It was nice to see him so human.

And the idea of Charles and Erik working together is better then anything else. I do, indeed, like the ending and did not think it was lame. I loved all the interactions of this fic, and loved how, after Charles had 'spilled the beans' he went about and corrected the one mistake he wanted to fix... No, I guess they really were not alone.

This was a happy read (although probably not for poor Ian). And I was happy to read it. :3
