How horrible that Obsidius woulc commit such a dreadful genocide against the Atwala out of no reason what so ever. Of course, he is a bully after all.

Did War just manage to glass a surface like a Covenant Battlecrusier from Halo?! Thank goodness that there aren't any other fire dragons who are capable of doing that. Also, what happened to his father?

Are Wither's powers based on quantum physics?

Ooh – when you said the story would continue in the next instalment, I didn't notice and/or realise that The Rise of Nobody had concluded. I was distracted and thought it was a random way of saying, "To be continued in the next chapter." But I digress – big congratulations and all around an excellent job you've done on this story! I'm so happy to see you finally reach this milestone after so many years. The Legend of Wither has easily been one of my most favourite in the many, many story arcs I've come across in the Spyro archive, and on period.

I *might* follow up with a more helpful, critical analysis sometime in the future, when I'm less occupied with cramming for exams. But, in case my dry spell in writing reviews continues, I want to get at least this much out: Thank you for sharing part of the world that is your paradise, and I look forward to more chapters to Heaven's Sword, whenever you have the time and inclination!

You have blown my mind. This story is AWESOME, and you are a brilliant storyteller.
It is insightful and deep in many different aspects, scientifically, and even spiritually. Your characters are funny and full of separate personality. You have an incredible vocabulary. The plot is skillfully and artfully woven with lots of twists and turns. Your explanations and descriptions of both the characters physical attributes, character traits, and elemental abilities are fun to read and easy to understand, especially Wither and his Nothing element- that in itself is amazingly inventive and imaginative. I can't even begin to describe the awe I have for such an amazing story.
I started my own attempt at a spyro fanfic before I started reading this story, and I would like to learn from you, if you are willing. Would you mind sharing any tips or pointers? If you simply don't have time or don't want to I completely understand, and I want you to feel free to say no. I normally wouldn't ask like this, but I want my story to be as good as it can be and asking people with more experience is one of best ways to learn.

Ohhhhh plot twist ...can't wait till next cha

I know I've written a couple reviews for this story already, but I'm extremely happy that this will be my last one for the first book of The Legend of Wither! I cannot express how proud I am that you were not only able to finish this after seven (yes, people, SEVEN) years, but you were able to learn as you went along. I can see the growth that's expressed in each and every chapter you've dished out since 2009 (2011 for all you cool Fanfiction folks), and it's quite astounding.

Most people write, and they keep writing... and then keep writing until they're done! No stops. No backtracks. No 'could I have done _ better?'. Nothing. But in the case of this story, you did all of that AND went back to fix things! That takes some serious dedication if you ask me. If any die-hard fan of this remembers when this first started, I'm going to invite you to check out the prologue one more time. Remember the way it all began? With a "NOOOOO!" from the big baddie himself? It impresses me that you went back and changed all that.

Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. This last chapter (and those leading up to it) has certainly left a pleasant taste in my mouth. It accurately sums up the book while leaving unanswered questions for more. Who is the mysterious bolded voice? Will Wither ever exact revenge on those who have wronged him, especially Arragor (War)? And, most importantly, what will happen to our heroes next?

Keep writing. Keep inspiring. Keep doing what you love. That goes for anyone, really. I hope that all of you out there who are or who have been reading this story up until this point shares this with another Spyro fan who loves reading about our favorite purple dragon. I mean, sure, I'm totally biased in saying that this is one of my favorite fanfictions ever, and I'm not even that big of a Spyro fan! But, I'm only asking you all to pass this along in hopes that maybe someone else out there will get inspired. I'm sure we can all agree that fanfiction sometimes gets the short end of the stick. Why read or write fanfiction when there's 'ACTUAL' stories out there? Okay, sure. True enough. I guess one way of looking at it is there's only so much creativity that can stem from a preexisting creation that already has its own story and characters. Other than adding some new OC’s and a new plotline, what else is there? Or, at least, that’s the argument you hear.

But think. This book, and yes, I’m calling it a book, originated from 2009. This thought has led to other ideas, other stories, and bigger and better things. This was the beginning to a new career choice. Who knows where the next Doctor Who fanfiction where lead? Or Supernatural? Or My Little Pony? Everything starts somewhere. And I'm glad that I was there from start to finish with Wither, the Void King.

Loving it

Part 2, here I am. The way I usually do these reviews is by starting at the top and listing my thoughts as I go down. Let's get to it, shall we?

This is one thing that I've not heard of before, hearing that Spyro and Cynder are...of high nobility. Most other stories I've read that take place many years after DOTD usually say that they rejected that status and preferred to live as commoners. It's interesting. I don't know if you'll develop those roles any further, but we'll see!

So, Wither is a mysterious, curious and shy fellow. He might have great power locked inside of him, but he has his own doubts about himself. Not bad. Not bad at all. By the way you've set him up, I don't think he has the capacity to be an overpowering character in his own right. It'll be interesting to see how you develop him in later chapters, which path you'll choose to take with him. I guess we'll see, won't we?

Two other characters introduced: Arragor, and Renna. Arragor has a crush on Renna, I took that away easily. Arragor will be either a rival or an enemy to Wither. It's a fairly common setup, but I'm interested in seeing how you'll put your own spin on it. Again, I'm interested in seeing how you'll develop a relationship like that! I assume other characters will be introduced in the near future!

Well, hello there. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Unit-Omicron. I noticed that this story just passed my own on the archive, so I had to come over and see what all of the fuss was about!

Rather interesting prologue here. Short, as expected. Most beginning chapters are like that, including my own. They usually serve as an exposition to at least an initial conflict that the story will attempt to solve. In most stories, at least. As for what will happen next, I have no idea! I'm familiar with this sort of outline: another unusual dragon is born (either to SxC or another couple, usually an OC pairing) and it either spells disaster or the new character will be a harbinger for another age. Seems yours will take the first path, considering the Chronicler's words!

I just noticed wither can kill or transform anyone no matter how powerful(spyro and cinder) by leaving them in the void...unless they can control the void too

Fell out of bed this morning when I saw an update to the story arrived xD well first of all, congratulations on everything that's been happening for you and hope it keeps on getting better!
Secondly, great chapter as usual, a very awesome read, and now we all hold out for the next chapter! I believe we're all pretty patient when it comes to this story, as it's definitely worth the wait.
