buggleston chapter 1 . 6/22/2011 Really great short love story |
Goldleaf83 chapter 1 . 6/20/2011 A terrific way to link two episodes and explain the relationship between Hogan and Lily. The characterization of Hogan works well, from his inability to remember her name (very funny commentary on his active love life as well as the stress of time gone by) and how he is irked by her refusal to acknowledge their earlier meeting. He's not a guy who thinks of himself as forgettable, after all. He's protective, unhappy she's not safe in England like he thought, but also grudgingly admits (and I think admires) the rightness of her insistence on fighting the war tooThe ending is nicely romantic without getting sappy, and I like how it acknowledges the way that circumstances have changed over the course of the war in the past two years. |
Jinzle chapter 1 . 6/20/2011 Loved the story. Cleared up so many questions I had about the two eppys. Brilliant work as usual. How do you make it seems so easy? :) |
Canadian Hogan's Fan chapter 1 . 6/20/2011 I always enjoy seeing Hogan, even if it's brief and only internal, not quite his usual smooth self around women. It was funny seeing him have to wrack his brain. Congratulations, by the way. I think you're the only one who succeeded in writing three stories. I'm quite impressed because they're all of a fairly good quality. |
Bits And Pieces chapter 1 . 6/20/2011 Leave it to Hogan to forget a name... LOL This was great! It really explained why he didn't seem to recognize her in that episode. It makes a lot more sense, now! Thanks for writing this; I really enjoyed it! |
snooky chapter 1 . 6/20/2011 Forgetting the name. Boy does that bring up some memories...of a sitcom...about nothing! But that being said, I like seeing Hogan caught off guard. It makes him more human. |
96 Hubbles chapter 1 . 6/19/2011 Heh heh...nice. It's good to see Hogan caught out for once. And I like the substance it gives to Lily's character by us getting to see this scene. But now we need to know where it goes from here! |
inhonoredglory chapter 1 . 6/19/2011 Now that was a very nicely-written story. I loved the way you snuck in casually all the relevant backstory and popped it in in the middle of things. I love that kind of writing! The story was really touching and Hogan's thoughts were really quite realistic. Nice tie-in to two episodes. I was actually a little sad to see the reference to the last HH show. Reminds me that there's no more episodes! Luckily there is fanfiction and your story was sure a good tonic :) I liked it a lot. |
Jennaya chapter 1 . 6/18/2011 Nice fill in for the story and well done. |
Tuttle chapter 1 . 6/18/2011 AW! I'm not the romantic type, but this was pretty fantastic. In fact, it was awesome. |
Sierra Sutherwinds chapter 1 . 6/18/2011 Nice story, really romantic. Certainly, this woman made an impression on Hogan since the first time they met. I don't blame him for not remembering her name. I'm not good at names either. But Lilly was very understanding. Good for her. |
emeraldarrows chapter 1 . 6/18/2011 Beautiful.:) |
dust on the wind chapter 1 . 6/18/2011 Good pick-up on a minor canon mystery, and a very neatly written story. I always found Lily to be one of the better female guest characters, and your characterisation here is very much what I would have imagined. dust... |
ColHogan chapter 1 . 6/18/2011 Excellent piece. I could see Hogan's bewilderment at seeing Lilly Frankel again after two years and then not remembering who she was in the beginning. And knowing the Colonel's penchant for beautiful women, I somehow cannot see him settling down with her but enjoying getting to know her better. Could see this as a missing scene at the end of the episode. |
hogan macgyver chapter 1 . 6/18/2011 With all of the women-er, people Hogan has met it isn't a wonder why he couldn't remember her name. Poor guy. Nice episode tie ins! |
