Dmitri chapter 1 . 4/22/2005 Brilliant!Just brilliant! |
Positronic Hazardous Infiltration Lifeform chapter 1 . 1/16/2004 Continue continue! If only for the Britain references! *waves Union flag* Of course, this didn't have the same gritty, dirty feel of 1984, and the main character seems less tortured, more or less determined (I can't really tell), certainly DIFFERENT from Winston. Less paranoid I think (or since it's 1984 based I guess it's less sensible). It's an interesting story and a good concept, and reading the letter was great. Also, what becomes of Newspeak? |
KC Kee too lazy to sign in chapter 1 . 1/3/2004 great story. so, whats next? |
KC Kee too lazy to sign in chapter 1 . 1/3/2004 great story. so, whats next? |
duchess-of-the-lemurs chapter 1 . 10/11/2003 please continue... i cant wait to find out what happens next.. keep it up! |
Queen of Tie-Dye chapter 1 . 9/14/2003 Absolutely marvelous! I love your style of writing. I really hope that this isn't a one-shot, but it's still wonderful if it is. |
duchessofthelemurs chapter 1 . 7/30/2003 Please continue. I would love to see a rebellion against Big Brother form. Keep it up! {_ |
Robert Cath chapter 1 . 5/21/2003 Simply brillant. Your prose is almost perfect and replicates the feeling of 1984 very well. The problem I have is, how did a prole get into the inner workings of the furnace, as in 1984 proles weren't allowed in Party areas. Besides that fact, this is one of the best stories I have read since 1984. 9 1/2 stars out of 10. Keep up the good work! |
Child-of-the-Dawn chapter 1 . 4/6/2003 OHH! I really like this idea! Update soon! |
ReesesForever chapter 1 . 3/6/2003 *Sniffles while reading the letter* Aw, that's so sad. and yet it is inspiring. Are you going to continue with this story? If not it is still an amazingly written story. |
AlisonHarvey chapter 1 . 12/15/2002 The story idea is wonderful, and the writing is excellent. The letter in particular stands out as original and interesting. However, I have to say that the chances of Winston's diary escaping seem a bit too contrived. Is it possible he has found a copy perpetuated by a group of other people? Some other more explainable theory? I hope you continue this story, if you are still posting to . I look forward to seeing more if you are. |
Mustex chapter 1 . 8/30/2002 Cool, please end this with Winstin regaining his sainity, and dueling with sabers to the death against both Big Brother and Obrien simultaniously. |
TashaHemlock chapter 1 . 8/2/2002 I enjoyed this. What is the man's name? is he a prole? please write more! |
Chias chapter 1 . 6/18/2002 I think that this was great. I always have hated the ending of 1984, the way that Winston lost to the Party. To think that someone has found his diary, to think that all is not lost, is a wondrous hope and that we should never allow anything like 1984 to ever happen! |
Rita Screecher chapter 1 . 5/8/2002 Amazing...you must continue. You wrote this just like Orwell would have. Excellent! :) |
