Reviews for A House In Dorset
Adria626 chapter 1 . 11/12/2012
I love this story. I read it a long time ago, and yet today I stumbled on it and re-read this glorious masterpiece. My oh my! I cannot believe I haven't reviewed this yet. It's amazing how you wrote the grief of both Helen and John. His rage and disbelief mixed with her solemn guilt...every word speaks circles through me. They grab my heart and pull and tug until all of a sudden I read the last three words and bam! My heart is ripped out and, and yet it can still beat, and I don't know whether to laugh, or cry. Because it doesn't quite seem fair. After all she died chasing butterflies.

That was SO powerful. Seriously. It breaks my heart to even imagine Helen going through something like that. And John? Somehow it feels even worse. Must be because on the show he spent most of his life killing people and not saving them... what does a killer feel when their loved ones are taken from them? I can imagine the regret, the pain... facing a conscience after years and years with blood on your hands. And even having him saving lives, what does one feel when he can everyone but their loved ones? God, what a story. Very well written. I am officially a fan. Fantastic. Thanks again for sharing. Hoping to see more of you soon!

*cries*

That was a beautiful and powerful story. I love the way you had John as a surgeon 'cutting people'. That line near the end about how 'his innocent daughter had died chasing butterflies' brought a tear to my eye. Very well done. :)
