rebecca-in-blue chapter 10 . 9/25/2019 Haha, I love that moment when Charles drops his pen and Erik makes him pick it up himself - so adorable and perfect for them. The flashback to the night before battle is also very well-done; I love how Charles reassures him again that he's "not alone." |
Guest chapter 7 . 8/23/2017 You keep fluctuating between tenses. One second you're describing what *is* happening and the next you're describing what *would* happen. 'He would...' The story is a lovely concept but that is irritating as hell to read. |
Rogue Deceit chapter 31 . 1/28/2017 ACK REVIEWING OUT OF ORDER! Ok, this was another one of those great chapters where so much was packed into it. I think when I first started reading, it was sometimes annoying that there wasn't more detail, but there are times also where I don't even notice because of the character interactions. This was one of those. The anger and the rage at the betrayal was so tangible, culminating with Azazel and Erik's stand off which was in a word, sexy. In two more, as hell. I am not sure how everything is going to turn out with Nightcrawler being claimed as Hanks kid, because as soon as he's born everyone's gonna notice he looks like a blue Azazel with less fingers... I can't wait to see how she explains that one. This is where the first bomb is dropped about Moira which as I explained in the next chapter I thought worked great. Another great chapter, keep it up. |
Rogue Deceit chapter 32 . 1/28/2017 I disagree, his name is Erik! LoL. No I know it's not actually... and that's a good way to get around it. This Chapter had a lot packed into it, and I loved it. I never cared for Moira myself, so let the bitch burn lol... But that was a great way to bring her back in... to have her be the one to set it up after having her brain messed with. Which seeing as this was wrote right after First Class and we didn't know what happened to her after, was a reasonable assumption. I like the different couples and what each represents and I like that they also uncouple... Raven moving to sit with Charles, and Angel with Erik... showing that while love is strong, family is stronger as when they were afraid they moved to ones the thought of as brothers. The image of Azazel wandering around half naked was yummy for sure, and i might have to raw it at some time... Long story short, another great chapter. |
Rogue Deceit chapter 30 . 1/26/2017 OMFG FLAILING CHERIK FEELS! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WOMAN! I love them... every single moment, every single... grawwwwww... you rock. I am sorry I didn't read all of this sooner. Erik finally telling him that he loved him was written up so beautiful and it felt completely natural and unforced. I love it. And I love them. My god. Woman. Feels! |
Rogue Deceit chapter 29 . 1/26/2017 I am not the biggest fan of Angel over all, maybe because she didn't have enough screen time in the movies, the way they flipped time it went from her leaving the beach with Erik to her being dead in the next movie... so I guess I never got a feel for her, which makes it hard to connect with her character. However, I like the relationship you developed between her and Erik in the last two chapters ending with him coming back just in time to save her. It was a beautifully written way to bring him home. Also, I can totally see him knocking his head on the steering wheel of the car like. don't be stupid Erik, don't be stupid Erik... Loved it. |
Rogue Deceit chapter 28 . 1/26/2017 ... That is all. Ok, no it's not. WTF! That was just... I mean... GRAW! So much detail and if you didn't love Erik before reading this chapter how could you not after. Just the amount of pain that was conveyed simply with the story he told. Bravi! |
Caitlin T chapter 27 . 6/25/2016 God where to start, at the start. The fact that Sean can't look at Erik and Charles after seeing them in bed together is fantastic. The way that he answers a little too quick when asked what is wrong is very uncomfortable teen boy, and it tickles me. I love it. Next, Emma is a bitch. In all the right ways, the power struggle between Charles and Emma was beautifully done, and Erik tipping the scales by reminding her where the power lay was fantastic. It gave us a subtle reminder that Erik isn't housebroken. He's still the strong and sometimes assholish character we know and love. The idea for the mutant registry is awesome. I love it, it is one of those things that Erik would definitely flip over, and I am predicting this is going to be where the parting of the ways begins, as sad as that makes me, though we all know where the end for Erik and Charles leads, it will forever break my heart that it is the case. Again, great chapter! |
Caitlin T chapter 26 . 6/25/2016 Ok, I love Charles in this. Love it. I love how soft hearted and sensitive he is, and how he takes care of a very scared Raven in this. I love that he tricked Raven into admitting how she felt in front of Hank, and while I'm not sure I'm really into the Raven/Hank pairing, I somehow feel it works here. They are cute, and while they are kind of destine not to last, I think that it is a realistic sort of high school romance. The conversation about being in the closet or not with Erik and Charles was beautiful. I could see it happening that way, Charles trying to get Erik to tell him what he wanted and Erik just shrugging. Ultimately, another great chapter. |
Caitlin T chapter 25 . 6/25/2016 Ok, gotta admit, teenaged Raven, not always been my favorite character over all. Because she really is such a teenager. But here I felt for her. She made a mistake and now the whole school knows it. Azazel was a dick for saying anything. Any teenager that's ever been slutshamed can totally feel for Raven in this chapter. I have to admit the image of Erik trying to figure out a lie to tell her about his type only to have his mouth betray him and them staring at each other trying to figure where it came from was priceless, and my heart broke at the end when she said he got everything she ever wanted and she only ended up pregnant. this chapter was excellently written. When I first started, I think the lack of detail in places were annoying, but now I'm so in love with the character's you've created here, that it doesn't even phase me. |
Caitlin Thompson chapter 24 . 6/20/2016 Love Azazel, he's kind of a dick. But he's supposed to be. From what I gather anyway. Raven's teenage anticts rolling her eyes at Erik when he pulled the door off the hinges was amusing at best. Great chapter, OTTN |
Caitlin T chapter 23 . 6/20/2016 Ok, so the last two chapters, I have to say it's good to see our boys getting closer and finally crossing that line. I don't so much mind that you didn't writ out the Lemon, because let's face it, one lemon is usually the same as the next, but you have such a beautiful flow to these two characters that this moment somehow seems so important, I'm sad it's not there. Maybe if you wrote it as a one shot that would be amazing. That said. The plot is starting to come together with Azazel's arrival on the scene and finding out about the mutant registry. I really should say more about all of that, which is the last chapter, however... this scene with the dance and the feels and them finally accepting one another is just so flail worthy, I'm having trouble focusing on the last chapter. OTTN |
Caitlin T chapter 22 . 6/20/2016 this was an amazing chapter. There was a lot of thought put into it, I don't know where to start. The image of Charles splayed out on the floor unable to bring himself to call for help is a powerful one, and you can feel Erik's anger at him for it right along with him. I half expected Erik to tell him off, but then he sat down and told that beautiful story. It broke my heart. And then to have that intimate moment broken up by the knock at the door was priceless... I can't wait to see how Erik reacts to that. OTTN |
Caitlin Thompson chapter 20 . 6/18/2016 I love the humor in this chapter, I love that it is a break from the serious work and look into Erik's teaching style. I am honestly, completely in love with Erik, from the get go he's been an amazing character, and even now I love to watch his growth as a person as well as in his affection for Charles. I can't wait to find out what happens next... |
Caitlin Thompson chapter 19 . 6/18/2016 Let me tell you, I felt for Bobby in this one. And it is interesting to see Erik taking an actual role in the institute. I loved that Bobby didn't just fall in line, and be all happy about being pulled away, because honestly, no kid would be. And it was he agreed to join them, you could almost feel how giddy Charles would be about it. Beautiful writing. |
