Marik is just fine here! Demanding, untouchable and quite aggressive in the first place, but then he shows a bit of kindness towards Petra. From the first chapter I‘m curious about how many of his rare hunters will end up in the shadow realm until the end of the story :D I wonder how she will react when she finds out that Marik is her boyfriends „boss“.

Adele was Bryn’s Jam but how did he sit around and just play and Marik was chilled. Anyway they have a special bond I guess. That little Irish bloke played bass and I wish I could play it with him. Trust Marik to be indifferent with the trip. Lol.

I wish there was a place for me to be part of this pairing. It’s so beautifully written, I can’t wait to see the rest of this story as Petra finds her past. Anyway I love this pair even so much. Love you Jo!

In all of the stories I have read, I love the ra concepts of supernatural because it is consistent with the Arcs. When I saw this was written a while back, I was sad that it ended and the preconceived notion of marriage was not told. I like Petra because she is no typical OC that gets carried away. You have given Marik an interesting character. One that is dangerous with his Millennium Rod. You have given him the will to carry our spiritual torment in Pagan ways. It explains how the Ishtars are safe after all those days of apocalypse. Anyway, I hope there are more people reading this. It is raw and it has a sort of redefinition of story telling. I think original characters are pretty spot on. I don't think you need to change Petra. She is your pride and joy right? I love the story you have written and don't think for a second you are losing ground. It is okay to make up concepts. Petra is you...? I can understand why you placed yourself in her shoes. I could feel the mistreatment in character within the society and hence Marik is the type that bullies people in this story. I know with your other stories he is less violent but you portrayed him here very harshly. He has no respect towards people but like you said he does emulate that longing for revenge. It also sounds like your research in child abuse showed how a child that has a heavy sense of negligence is likely to react ominously towards another. Trying to remember which author it is by. Elizabeth Zeimer if that helps. Piaget is also my bet. A life as a Tomb Keeper is never a sweet experience. I would also say his life as an infant is likely suppressed and his joys are little. Jun Yoon here is referred as slave because Marik gets worse right? The people he once called as Elites are also called that. I'd say as a lawyer, I would run away from him but because he is powerful in vengeance Petra could not escape him.

Pretty much the best scenes are highlighted with music and Bryn taking her to her place. I miss having Bryn in Jun Yoon's closet scene. 'Rumpelstiltsjeans' was our fun humorous story where he made a deal with Marik the 'devil'. Like your notes. You make up so many clairvoyant metaphysical stuff here. Wow!

Wow! Marik's kind of violent in here! He's wasted about 4 or more people and beat them silly before sending them to the Shadow Realm! It's interesting to see how he acts around women, since in the manga and anime he didn't have any female Rare Hunters. I expected him to be more charismatic with Petra, since he wears many masks. I'd thought that he'd try to win her trust just so he could manipulate both her and Ray and not to scare her so quickly or tell her about the millennium rod. Now I'm curious how he'll deal with her and Ray!

Keep spreading the Bryn love! Rolling in the Deep was the very aspect of my life that year as well. Good old Adele in 2011. Hi Cherie and anon, this story is old and I am not afraid to go beyond censorship. First of all I don't care about popularity and I do write darkly but that's not to say I agree with my theme. I have my own interpretation of how Marik reacts to people in reality. I think having a dark story is how I write. He is a violent manipulator in Manga so he has to bottle those traits to be able to murder the pharaoh. If you have studied psychology like I have, you will understand... and Cherie, don't go reviewing on my stories and others about how I draw or write.
