Wow, this was really intriguing. The flashback, firstly was beautifully written. Dennis guilt is very palpable and the 'being alone in this house, is practically impossible' part really brought tears to my eyes. You SPaG was all in order and overall, I thought this was a wonderful fic :). Well done!

You do a very good job weaving the flashbacks into the story; that's not an easy thing to do.

You have a certain depth to your writing that really made the fic for me. I can see real substance to the grief that Dennis is going through. The fact that his parents were throwing the blame onto him really only intensified the feeling and it came across beautifully.

This is quite lovely. It caught my eye because I wrote something quite similar two days ago, so I was curious as to what was the same and what was different.

What I really like about yours is the depth. The depth of Dennis's guilt – that's super realistic and what really made me *feel* in this piece.

The flashbacks (which I normally find disrupt the flow of a story for me) only added to it. The confrontation between Dennis and Colin when Colin leaves is beautiful

This is an interesting story. Dennis is practically invisible throughout the series, so you have to guess a lot about what he's like. I know I never considered his reaction to Colin's death. But your description of what's going through his mind is excellent, and very realistic.

In the first paragraph, though, I think you might have meant "Disappearing within this crowd is nearly impossible" - it would be more than "nearly" impractical.

The overall idea of "It will be worth it" is very good. That would definitely have been something Colin would have to be thinking about.

So, firstly thanks. I'm on my iPod and I can't figure out how to respond to your comment, so here's me saying you are awesome for that.

Anyway, this was great; I really like that his parents blame him. Not everyone is understanding and accepting. I can see that it would be difficult for parents of muggleborns to accept the outcome of the war.

Anyway, small point: Dennis' fireplace wouldn't be connected to the Floo Network.
