Wolvie26 chapter 26 . 5/20
Love it! If there is not a sequel right now I hope you write one in the future!
akinomatis chapter 26 . 5/15
I hope you will have a sequel to this soon, I really enjoyed this story.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 20 . 4/18
Okay, so the description of Eric dressed for Fangtasia at the top of the chapter — mouth watering, literally. I suppose I should be embarrassed by that, but I’m a trained artist equipped with a vivid imagination. MY own particular image of Eric (not ASkars at all, absolutely no slight to him intended however) dressed as described ... Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm.

Here we hit one of my top Sookie pet peeves — accepting she’s a Supe, not really part of the human equation. The marriage represented by the blood bonds aren’t just accepted by vampires, the marital status will stand with all Supes so to hell with what humans think! I’d hate to see this Sookie choose one or the other vampire to publicly marry just to please humans at large. No matter how they tried to accept it, the one not ‘officially’ identified as her husband by human standards will still feel hurt. For human legalities addressed by marriage, with the right legal arrangements, they can accomplish the same thing.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 19 . 4/18
I’m excited with the blast of forward impetus in this chapter. The trial is set & sounds like it will be exciting & entertaining. I’m wondering if the Queen & her retinue will be in attendance, QSA assuming that will be her opportunity to take her new telepath home with her.

Getting the blood bonding underway — finally — is awesome. I would have liked her to have a chance to tell E&G her choice before telling ANYONE else. I’m blaming Amelia. When she’s in a story privacy & sensitivity to Sookie & her lover(s) seem to fly out the window.

I liked that Eric’s ‘proposal’ included a bit of humor. His playfulness in private & his sense of humor are a couple of my favorite things about his character, at least most versions of Eric. Poor Godric though, having to stay on top of both Eric’s & Sookie’s tendencies towards insecurity is sure gonna keep him busy.

Bobby, well on top of being an ass (par for the course for the character), this version seems to also have a death wish. On a positive note to the episode, E&G have a chance for some satisfying vengeance & Sookie gets to show off her first sparkling new Fae power.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 17 . 4/18
These FFs that involve Niall always leave me wondering why he didn’t act to stop Bill from doing so much damage. In this story, since he’s been keeping an eye on her for a couple years, seems like he had plenty of time to do something about the creep. [The other question I always find myself asking is why ol’ Niall, handsome faerie that he is, doesn’t hook-up with someone else & make some more kids, ideally fully or mostly Fae. He’s had centuries since his last couple were born & presumably centuries more ahead of him...]

Sookie telling Jason to keep his mouth shut if other vampires ask about her is pretty much wasted breath. They would just glamour him to spill anything he knows anyway. On the safety/security topic, it seems like fresh traces of Sookie’s & Claudine’s scents at the farmhouse is a bigger risk factor than anything Jason might blurt out.

Yikes! Nightmare or attacker at the end of the chapter?
GlassMazeGazer chapter 16 . 4/18
“He even looked a bit dangerous.” For ‘Death’ to be looking in a mirror noticing he looked ‘a bit dangerous’ is hilarious. Nicely done!

Poor Trey! Amelia is usually his in these stories. If both Alcide & Trey are mostly modeled on the canon versions of the characters, Trey is definitely more deserving than Alcide. Then again, wishing Amelia on Trey is probably like wishing Sookie on Eric — essentially wishing big trouble on them. Ugh — is Devil Debbie gonna show up soon & hassle Amelia &/or Sookie?

Well, I guess ol’ Godric really is ‘a bit dangerous.’ Who’da thunk it, eh?
GlassMazeGazer chapter 15 . 4/18
Jessica will be the envy of vampires under 500 everywhere — trained by Godric AKA Death, Eric AKA the Viking AKA Death’s Companion, and Pam, the Viking’s progeny who’s already had the benefits of being trained by Godric & Godric! And here she’d already had her first HUGE stroke of luck in getting free of Creepy Compton. I think I’m more eager for Niall to come back & reveal what’s up Fae-wise with Jessica than for Sookie’s part.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 14 . 4/18
Elizabeth, now Jane. I’ll be watching through the rest of the story to see if a Mary, a Kitty, & a Lydia turn up!

I was hoping that Andre & Lorena would be passing Bill in transit without connecting. You didn’t disappoint. Now I’m wondering how long it might be before Bill has a chance to file charges with the Magister or even give a more thorough explanation to the Queen. Will either happen before they find out about the complaints that Eric is submitting? Hmmmm...

With Eric & Godric taking Sookie out in public for dates & such, it shouldn’t take long for QSA to find out Sookie isn’t actually dead and to demand Eric turn her over. Will it be a race for both Eric & Godric to be fully bonded to Sookie before that happens or will the Magister make some sort of ruling that blocks the Queen now that he knows Sookie is Niall’s great granddaughter? Oooooo — & I’m dying to know what the Magister will be thinking when he makes the connection that he was responsible for forcing Bill to turn Jessica & it turns out that she’s related to Niall too.

I’m happy that poor Eric is finally getting some ‘positive reinforcement’ from Sookie. She was so focused on Godric that I was starting to feel sorry for Eric and that should never ever come to pass. (CH already did more damage to his character than I can tolerate, no more is allowed!)
GlassMazeGazer chapter 13 . 4/18
Eric breaking the back of a chair at the sight of Sookie dressed for their evening was a great touch.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 12 . 4/18
Uuuuch! Pam will be horrified that they sent Sookie shopping without her there to advise!
GlassMazeGazer chapter 11 . 4/18
I like that Sam was SO helpful in getting rid if himself. Sams are rarely so cooperative being far too busy trying to hump Sookie’s legs...
GlassMazeGazer chapter 10 . 4/18
It doesn’t seem like this Sam, Alcide, or Amelia take much care or have much sense for Sookie’s safety. This Sookie took a typical STUPID Sookie step, which hasn’t been common for this version of the character so far. What did any of the four of them think could be accomplished by Sookie taking off during daylight after a creature that powerful, especially without first consulting with the two vampires old enough that they might know what to do? If Sam actually cared about Sookie, he wouldn’t have given her any reason to fling herself into danger.

I hope that isn’t shades of her turning more stupid as the story progresses. It’s been a pleasant relief to read a Sookie who shows at least some common sense. I hate to think I’ll be mentally yelling at her for being an inconsiderate idiot for the rest of this story. I have some hope that it won’t be as bad as usual since the actual actual action against Maryann didn’t start until Eric & Godric showed up to help.

So, enter Claudine. Pretty risky to show up with vampires present.

Too bad Maryann didn’t do some damage to Andre or Lorena before she died, but then Maenads apparently have very little interest in vampires. My hopes were set just a bit too high.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 9 . 4/18
“His kiss was so different from Eric's, but no less consuming. It didn't have the desperate passion, but she felt the mark of possession and overwhelming desire just the same.“ Beautiful! Then followed quickly by the clumsy insensitivity I expect in an Amelia, “ Okay, if we're done with that part of the evening perhaps we can move on to the main event." Well written!

I’m impressed at the sense of urgency conveyed in the scene while everyone waited to see what went wrong & for the doctor to arrive while you somehow still maintained the gentle style in telling the story. You also continue to please that bit of OCD in me by quickly answering my questions almost as soon as they pop-up.

The writers who string things along endlessly make it difficult for me to enjoy their stories. Mystery & suspense are great, but not every tiny thing needs to be mysterious. For example, you quickly answered why Eric & Godric were being booted out of the room as well as quickly gave a name to the unknown male arriving with Dr Ludwig. Many FF writers would have left readers guessing for several more chapters if they even bothered to provide answers at all. On the other hand, leaving the questions about what Niall noticed about Jessica, as well as what Sookie’s destiny is, was great for building suspense — those are bigger mysteries while the two other examples were small & the wouldn’t have been any real value in leaving them dangling.

I appreciated the hint that Eric & Godric were intended to be part of ‘the destiny’ via Niall’s silent approval of them both showing affection for Sookie.

One question I’m left with is whether something should & could be done about the blood connection still existing between Jessica & Bill. In most stories, even when the maker releases the child, there still seems to be some power or influence that the maker is able to exert on the released child.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 7 . 4/18
HAH! Since when has an Alcide character not interfered with a Sookie’s attachment to her Eric? Maybe it will be different in this story, but I dislike Alcides only slightly less than I dislike Bill characters.

I was hoping the witch would be Octavia or some completely other non-canon character. If this Amelia is based much on the canon version I’m bracing myself for the annoyance her personality adds to any story she appears in.

I’m finding that my little bit of OCD is taking a liking to your attention to detail. For example, Jessica remembering to mention to Isabelle that her phone number might change now that she’s been released by Bill. So many FF writers leave a lot of details, both large & small, hanging unsettled or unresolved. When that happens my brain gets snagged on those gaps making it difficult to fully immerse myself in the story. On the hanging detail topic, silly as it sounds, my brain is idling as it waits to see if you mention either retrieving Sookie’s clothes from Bill’s (former) room or that Bill destroyed them in a tantrum. [YES! You’re my hero! You remembered Sookie’s things & did it with an extra pinch of grace by having Isabelle be the one to notice & take care of it. That kind of detail is more likely to be noticed by a female generally, so it was just the right touch.]
GlassMazeGazer chapter 6 . 4/18
Eric’s moan — Godric’s turning — those rascals were awake & playing ‘possum to tempt her! Her falling to the temptation is pretty OOC for a Sookie character, but I guess her having had the blood of two very old vampires in a span of just two days, not to mention being in such close, semi-nude physical proximity, AND having been rescued & protected by both of them, could be enough to override the less than perfectly instilled Christian morality her Gran pushed at her...
