Speechless. that story was so deep and painful the way u made Santana punish herself by being closet and married to a man could be very real if u grow up in homophobic religious family and community. what touched me the most was how their relationship was slowly breaking when they were apart it was honest and realistic as hell and how the reunited was absolutely beautiful too. The ending melted me I'm so glad I read this no matter how late I am & thanks alot for writing & sharing this. love and happiness wherever u are :)

Okay, there were good elements and bad. I don't want to get too detailed but here goes. I think the reasons for their breaking up were good, character accurate reasons. I think you described their hollow happiness without each other well. I felt their emotion.
I did not like that they stayed away from each other so long. I don't like what you did to Brittany; She seemed a little cold to me. I think the way you made Santana punish herself was a little extreme in the long run though it doesn't seem OOC.

Okay, so to be honest, I thought the letter was from John. I had no intention of reading the whole. So, I got about three paragraphs in, glanced back up and saw that it was really a letter from Santana. That's when it hit. So, here I am. Emotionally invested in a story that has me crying only on the fourth chapter. You're doing a great job, and I don't know if you'll actually read all the new reviews you get on what I suppose are old stories. But I just wanted to say that I really love this story. Keep up the great work, and I hope Britt's parents don't try to downplay what John did to her.

Oh, oh! I loved this so much! Santana calling herself Britt's best friend even after going years without talking? Yes! I almost wish he didn't leave just so Auntie Snixx could have made an appearance! And how dare Alexander question her? What? Is he jealous that Santana is doing good by a friend? Helping Britt in her time of need? Any other lawyer would have taken every penny she has probably, and wouldn't have been so kind and understanding when Brittany didn't know what she wanted! And how DARE he do ANYTHING other than being a SUPPORTING husband who is PROUD of his wife for helping out a long-lost friend especially since said friend had something as AWFUL as her own husband CHEATING on her! Brittany doesn't deserve that! She is good and pure, and in Santana's own words "she is everything good in this stinking, miserable world" and she deserves the who world! He 'checked into it"? Who the hell does that, and what does even mean? Husbands who are jealous and insecure, that's who! I am so glad Santana didn't take his crap, and TOLD HIS OFF! Good for her. Maybe she goes and sees Britt. Or not. That'll be fine too. I just hope Alex-asshat-ander gets his shit together before Santana comes home. Or not! I think I could like this story. I love how you took a completely different take on them. Both married -to men-, one cheated on, the other not happy. I'm curious to see how you take this and what you make of the Brittana friendship/relationship. Good job so far. :)

JESUS CHRIST this last scene was absolutely beautiful. And the song was nicely chosen, I don't know it, but I'm listening to it right now and if I were to be proposed to with this soundtrack and with those words of "someday", I'd have a really, really hard time saying no.
