I am not sure why you gave up on the story, you had a great start. If you gave up because of lack of reviews, then you were writing for the wrong reason.

Some on here give reviews often, others don't review at all and it can be rather frustrating for the writer, not knowing where to go. I tend to go both ways depending on how much time I have, sometimes I read and run because I am a very busy mother of two and I don't always have the time to write a review. I do try, but don't always succeed.

If you enjoy your story then write it for yourself. That is what writing is all about, you write because you love it. I never wrote until my oldest daughter talked me into giving it a try. Am I good, I don't know, but I love doing it, so I do it. Some stories are here others are buried in my own personal folder only for me.

I use my writing to escape my mostly hectic life. While some use TV to escape reality for an hour, I write and it is very relaxing and I will admit I have gained a whole new respect for writers with just the few stories I have written.

just drop it,hard to stay interested when you never know when an update will be.

You should continue this story. You have set up several possibilities for continuing the story: the killer getting loose, her running away, and a new case that forces them to work together again-my favorite of the possibilities.

I really hope your life gets better. If you're not loving the writing, leave it for a while and see if you feel better about it later. Life's too tough to be forcing yourself to write something that isn't bringing you joy.

Go back to chapter 1, do the romance with B & B. You've established the reason for the fight, now let them make up. Write how you want, forget the show.

It was well-written and easy to read. I like how you didn't try to make your sentences super long and complex (I feel like that tends to make stories sound more amateurish)

You should totally continue! I mean come on, we have to know what they were mad at each other about! It could be cool if the story sort of jumped around in time...for example, if chapter 2 started 12 hours earlier explaining to us why they were mad at each other and how they ended up getting drunk together, etc...then with chapter 3 picking up where you left off in chapter 1 or something... I dunno, just an idea...
