Maybe James is worried that if he reacted strongly about the slur against muggleborns then Lily will get angry at him thingking he's showing off and he's being arrogant so he just made a joke about it.

I could really empathize with Lily's feelings, how things can seem so huge when you over-analyze them, and they you're with someone who just makes everything seem simple. Your writing is beautiful, as always!

I can't find the words to describe how much I loved it. Eeeeeep. I'm basically fangirling this was the most precious thing ever.

Really well written. I loved how it showed that people and life isn't perfect :) Well done.

One little thing, I think James' reaction to the Muggleborn slur was OOC for his character. It does show character flaw, but remember when Snape called Lily a Mudblood in the fifth book?

'"Apologize to Evans!" he roared'

And he turned his wand on Snape then.

That isn't a mild reaction. It's obvious that discrimination against muggleborns evokes a very intense and angry reaction from James. I don't think he would have laughed it off.

But other than that, I loved it! :D
