Oh I definitely picked up on the jaded part! I am listening to the soundtrack and then I read into the lyrics ( as I did the first time I bought the movie to watch it ahaha ) and I just sensed that there was a hidden part of her life there.

No worries! Gothel was very much in character. I like your story behind her bitterness. It certainly explains a lot.

But I couldn't help but think while reading it, "If things ended up differently, Rapunzel might have been related to Gothel after all!"

Nice idea. Needs a lot of work. :) Focus on characterisation, indulging the senses and character psychology. ;)

It's a fine concept that needs an overhaul, butt load of work. At the moment, it sounds like a really bad wikipedia summary, but with time and a lot of practice, you might be able to do the idea justice.

Wow that was amazing! I never thought that just a few lines from the movie could make a background story for Gothel/Clara! I still think it was unfair for Alfred to leave Clara all alone just for a princess he just met. -_- Good just Al. Anyways great story!1
