As Jim drowsily rose from his hammock, I felt like I was watching a natural continuation of the film. It felt... like revisiting the movie. It felt right.

I also really liked the detail where Jim is gazing through the latticed trapdoor. Great callback to the original scene. Loved seeing it from Silver's POV.

I would have liked to see more dialogue on Jim's part. Whenever he did speak it was interesting.

Really great fanfic concept. Jim's second day on the ship... such a simple idea, but I'm not sure I've ever seen it before. Good job on the story!

I've only just stepped into the Treasure Planet fandom, having rediscovered my childhood love for the movie, and I'm sad to say, I was rather disappointed with the majority of what I've seen. You, however, blew the rest out of the water. I would read the whole movie's worth of scenes like this if you wrote them. Father-son moments with these two are my absolute favorite. Truly a wonderful fic. :)

Loved this one shot! It was funny and they were both in-character so that it made sense canonically. The bit where Jim automatically gave the food bowl to Doppler was funny and really said a lot of Jim's character where a lot of other fanfics fall short. Jim's obedient and tries to make people proud (even if he's mad about doing it), it's one of the best aspects of his character and makes him much more likable!

Oh... my... word! that was great! I can just see it all as though Disney had actually animated all of this (well, okay, some of it they /did/ do)! You got both of the characters down beautifully and Silver's manner of speech couldn't be better.
Definitely one of my favourite Disney movies and you really delivered!

I wish that there were more stories like this. I've always wondered about what those days must have been like for Jim as he worked like that. I forgot if this was a one-shot or not, but I would love to read just one more chapter of this. Something that shows the father-son relationship between Silver and Jim

This, was amazing! :D It made me laugh, it made me feel bad for Jim, and it kept the characters in character. It was also extremely well written. :) I loved it. :)

This was pretty dang good! All that work sounds exhausting, and I can imagine what nonsense Jim is thinking in his head the whole time. The end where he and Silver engage in a little one-upmanship was funny. Hahaha!

Wonderful story! The interactions and dialogue between Jim and Silver is very believable and you have captured the essence of their individual characters perfectly. The structure of the story itself is well thought out and flows very nicely. The descriptions of their actions are just enough so we can follow without being burdened by every single little move. I enjoyed reading it very much and I hope you write other stories in the TP fandom. :)

It is beyond me why no one has reviewed this yet. I thought it was wonderful! I think the communication between Silver and Jim was spot on. I'd never really thought about it, but Jim probably would have stayed quiet for the most part (at least at first) to not risk starting waves. Your diction was amazing, and grammar and spelling and all was perfect as far as I could tell. I thought it was very well done. Favorites for sure. :)
