Firstly, you know its a bad plot when you have to assassinate the character of HOW many people to make your story work?
1. Madame Giry would never whore her daughter out
2. Meg completely annihilated out of all recognition . I don't even know where to begin
3. Raoul also out of character, by a LOT.

so when three of your five principles are unrecognizable as themselves, how can it be a good story? I don't care for it, just as I consider stories that have a 'monster' Raoul or dead Raoul an insult the writer is basically saying Erik could never win Christine's heart on his own merit.
and I can't agree with that.
which has me worried about where this particular Raoul is going. I'm guessing his 'family' is French Mafia? Christine was a means to an end, and it was his family after Erik and that killed her dad?

Yay! I thought he fell back down the staircase - but he fell over and off the roof, eh? No matter - the end result is the main thing!

And of course Christine can rightfully claim she acted in self-defense; I'm sure she didn't mean to kill Raoul - that was an accident - but I'm sure they're both relieved he's gone! Well, we ALL are! :-)

Of course Erik's alive and thank God. But I think Raoul needs to take a very long walk off of a very short plank. :-( Didn't see that coming about Raoul's family having past criminal, Mafia-sounding ties to Erik in the past, but it's believeable.

Well, very sad but not unexpected - but I'm sure everything will work out in the end. It BETTER, anyway, or there could be a Punjab lasso in the author's future! (JK! lol)
