So Kenshin is wondering if Kaoru is a danger junkie, and that's why she invited a hitokiri to be her house guest. It's plausible. Also very creative. I liked this ficlet very very much.
By the way, I also love to watch thunderstorms roll in across Tampa Bay. But I'm not into danger; I take shelter when they get close, and I don't invite assassins into my house.

Drabbles are fun because it gives a good chance for variation. The modern Au's with young Kaoru and her neighbor really capture me because 1) it really brings out their age difference, that you don't think quite as much about after they're adults 2) the whole bike incident with Aoshi and Misao was hilarious (makes it even better that it was based off of real life).

Well that would explain why Kenshin ran away from the kingdom or whatever. But I do wonder why Kaoru is so fixated on looking for Battousai. Did he do something bad to her? Or do they know each other from before? Or is Kaoru just looking for recognition for being the first woman to capture Kenshin? Awww, if Enishi would only treat Kaoru better maybe he could have a better chance with her. He's too perverted though, and a sexist. Pffft. It's just too bad even though I ship EniKao. Can't wait to see KaoruxKenshin moments.
