ive got to say.

that was the best pred/human smut ive ever read. i mean clenching my legs together good. the tension, the detail, even just the build up to this chapter was so good. wow, hats off to you dear author. also i seen someone mention this being ‘rapey’ and i completely disagree. clearly they need to reread to fully grasp the relationship being developed here. all and all this was good. definitely going into my favorites.

I remember reading this several years ago and loving it. I am ashamed to admit that back then I wasn't much of a reviewer but now I review everything especially after talking to authors and learning how important it is to them. So seeing as I came across this story again and reread it, I thought I should make up for the review I never left.

First off, I LOVE THIS STORY. It is so different from all the predators fics I have read and its still unique all these years later. The characterization of Anya is great. She is smart and strong but not in the overpowered sense. She feels like woman I have met in my life. The fact that she doesnt take L'tor bullshit and challenges him is intriguing and exciting. You maintain a good balance of her being challenging but also open to the idea of being submissive though I am glad that L'tor has to still work for it. I hadn't read Start of A New Life in forever so I cant remember but I hope she causes him a little bit of hell along the way. He deserves it just a bit. Plus thats what he gets for picking someone like Anya.

L'tor character is great too. I like that he reevaluates and challenges his own views and ways of doing things. The fact that he tries to accommodate her while also still being the dominant is sweet and drool inducing. I remember when I first read it i was a little weary the first few chapters because it did give me an impression that he may force her but once I read it in full I no longer felt that way. There are still moments where i was mad with Anya with the way he enforced something or made decisions for her but thats my inner feminist rearing its head. It did feel to me that he ultimately does respect her which makes me feel better about it. Plus my praise kink button was pushed every time he soothed or praised her for submitting.

I am definitely heading over to Start of a New Life after this because I cant get enough of this crazy couple and I look forward to reading all the stuff I forgot and the new chapters I have missed. Thank you for writing and sharing this story with this crazy fandom(I am in it so I can admit its kind of crazy). I hope you and your family is doing well!

I've just finished reading the sequel to this story, and I've returned to put in my comments (sorry for the delay, better late than never, right?). The story of Anya and L'tor is one of the most interesting reads I've had so far. Anya is a very strong female character, though sometimes to the point of making me uncomfortable and feel sorry for L'tor. Having said that, the ending is very satisfying for me, and I just want to say Thank you so much for this story and for making a part 2.
