See the characters say they are horrified but I don't feel horrified. Try describing the intense gore and viscous smell... a hundred people were slaughtered like pigs and left rotting for hours in a cramped train... they all collectively shit their pants when they died (that's a real thing btw).

enjoyed the characterization of Enrico he doesn't get a lot of screentime in the first game.

Now this is where the story begins :)

Oh so you are including Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 1... how interesting. I like your take on Raccoon City, very cultish... sounds like Utah. It would thus make sense for the local police to have a special police... a tactical police... a rescue police... I always felt S.T.A.R.S. was more of a Texas Rangers/US Marshals type thing but your idea to have them specialize in cult related activity is very interesting. One minor note, you don't need to add a disclaimer... we are on who cares nobody can sue you (they'd have to sue everyone). Also I know the games made all the S.T.A.R.S. officers wear different outfits but come on... why would they wear bright green and mismatched clothing... unified all black tactical gear is way cooler. I also like the hints of sexual discrimination against Rebecca, as the only woman on the team (and set in 1998) she would defiantly encounter unwanted flirtation and unfair assumptions about her abilities. Nice of you to show that.

So I like your set up so far, the backstory is also really interesting. Two small things however, Raccoon City could not be built in 1968 (and if it was it would not be a major city). Most cities in the United States can date back to the 19th century (so it should really be 1868) and major renovations to turn it into a major urban center (like highways) were made in the 1940s as part of the Roosevelt Administration. Also the US was involved in the Vietnam War in 1968 and there would no economic or political means to build an entire modern city in [generic midwest state]. The other thing... you wrote "the train wheezed by"... you really meant whizzed by. Wheezed is having difficulty breathing. Other than that the story is pretty good. I am not a huge fan of 3rd person omniscient writing (if you don't know what that means message me and I can explain further) but I am hooked into your story regardless. I would like to know the names of all the characters before we enter their thoughts but that is up to you as the author.

Thoroughly enjoying imagining this cutscene-style.
