wendykw chapter 1 . 11/1/2017 When I run out of new fics to read, I find old ones from my favorite authors to read. This one is Wow! The imagery is perfect. Deep feelings and fears conveyed with a rich, succinct use of words. |
operaluvr chapter 1 . 10/7/2017 Your last line. A perfect string of words that captured both the chaos and horror of this event and the dark unknown of the future. Also loved this line, “...his fingers plugged a hole, a little boy at a dam, the weight of the unshed water behind the wall, threatening to dislodge his world.” A perfect metaphor for Castle’s life. |
GT500RonSmith chapter 1 . 4/9/2013 Wow, that hurts! |
BlueEyedBrigadier chapter 1 . 8/15/2012 Damn...you really know how to paint a picture! The imagery that came to me was eerily like watching an extended edition of "Knockout" but seeing the furor of Castle begging Kate to stay with him, Mr. Beckett calling for his daughter, Esposito and Ryan leading the (fruitless) manhunt for Maddox...and Lanie fighting like a tigress to keep her best friend off her slab. Beautiful work! |
Limonata chapter 1 . 7/25/2012 Oh, this was such a beautiful perspective piece. |
nixer chapter 1 . 6/20/2012 Beautiful and perfect and so true to the moment I can see it and feel it with them. I particularly like the boy at the dam metaphor. And the final line. |
DRAGONRIDINGSORCERESS chapter 1 . 5/7/2012 I don't usually review, but I just wanted to say that I loved this one. It was very moving, and your descriptions were perfect. |
Lydian Stone chapter 1 . 2/4/2012 Powerful stacatto image of the grief and chaos that would have followed. Beautifully written. |
bones35 chapter 1 . 8/27/2011 It will be very interesting to see 4x01 after reading this one. I liked this one - too; no surprise there. |
maisma51 chapter 1 . 8/14/2011 This was BRILLIANT! I especially loved these lines at the end: "...close to where his fingers plugged a hole, a little boy at a dam, the weight of unshed water behind the wall, threatening to dislodge his world" and "At one side his daughter, at the other his life". Such great imagery and emotion. Superbly written. Thanks for sharing. |
Topsy chapter 1 . 7/25/2011 Sneaking a short one in before work. This is really good. I was having trouble picturing in my head all of those people, like her father, and his daughter. I knew they wouldn't just stand there and watch, but I was struggling to group them together around her laying there... But this, it fits. Very nice! :) |
AlwaysCastle chapter 1 . 6/17/2011 amazing. I loved how you described this! great imagery |
runeaglerun chapter 1 . 5/19/2011 "At one side his daughter, at the other his life."-This line alone gave me serious chills. Brilliant job! Love your writing, your post Knockout fics have been amazing! :) |
BerLina chapter 1 . 5/18/2011 Gaaaah! And again! Why do I even read your stories? Why do you do this to us? Waaaaaah! You're awesome. You could put all of these oneshots into a series. An epic bawling series. I so hate you right now. You have done a wonderful job. I'm crying. I love it. As you can see, my thoughts don't even make sense right now. That's your doing. Or Fic's doing. Whatever. Love Lina |
ScribbledHP chapter 1 . 5/17/2011 God, this is beautiful. Well done. |
