Well, I'm not sure if you're still around this site at all, but wanted to say I've just read this for the second time, and once again very much enjoyed it.

I agree with you entirely about Edward's motivations and reservations around sex (both the not a prude thing and the virtue thing).

You did make me want to head to Italy-maybe when all my kids are grown (though the youngest is 9, so that's a ways offor just to head into the blue yonder and spend six months travelling! Are the joys! Which I have done with three kids in toe before, but there can never be enough. Alas, with one in year 11 and one about to start high school, it won't happen again for a long time.

I was just re-reading your very enjoyable story, and had to say a word about the 'lube' passage.

First, I appreciate your saying a positive word about the function and benefits of the foreskin.

However - at the risk of getting too analytical with a mythical situation - it occurs to me that, in the Meyer vampire world, there would probably no such thing as a circumcised vampire. If the transformation heals all injuries and replaces all missing or damaged body parts, it would certainly grow a new foreskin in the process.

(I actually considered mentioning this in one of my stories. Before editing, I had Eleazar, who I took to be Jewish, comment on how he had once felt that his becoming a vampire had 'damned' him not only in removing him from humanity, but in casting him out from his people by reversing his bris. But I was afraid it would be offensive to some readers.)

I loved this chapter. All of it. It was wonderful of Alice to set up that appointment with the boutique, I’m so glad that Bella found a dres that both she and Edward loved. He sounded so gorgeous in that blue suit. Both of their ceremonies were wonderful. I am surprised that The family left them alone and didn’t show up for the wedding. I’m glad they didn’t and that it was between Edward and Bella only. I absolutely loved that Edward came the moment he was inside her the first time. He did warn her that he most likely would. That he stayed hard, was perfect as was their first time. It was such a wonderful idea for them to go to Isle Esme but, it also makes sense with the timing, that it would be time for the confrontation with Victoria and her pets. I am curious to how you would’ve handled her. You mentioned in an earlier chapter that you had plans for her, yet they are not here. Will check your library to see if it is a separate story. This stor was wonderful. Thank you for sharing your imagination with us here. ~Christy

I really liked this Edward point of view chapter. His delusions of her being perfectly fine after he left bothered me. It always bothered me that he left her. Claiming he loved then threw her away in the woods. Deciding for them both, never discussing it with er. For him to think she was merrily going about her days this way, made me cranky. I am glad he got slapped with the images from Mrs. Stanley and the wolves. He deserved that. Even though they are all better now, I still want him to get the images from Charlie when they get back home eventually. Just to remind him of what he did. Aro was just as bad in this as he was in the books. Controlling and manipulative. At least they succeeded in getting Bella away from there. I’m sad this is over in the next chapter.

I liked that he took her to see those photographs of him and his family. I don’t see why they’d have to be destroyed, as he could easily dismiss a humans questions by simply saying it is uncanny the resemblance to my great grandfather and they’d buy it. Who’d question that, really? Especially since he has them locked up in the safety deposit box. His name as the owner is not Edward Cullen or Masen, so it would make it even more believable. Your use of singlet in this leads Em to believe you’re from the Australia/New Zealand area. I loved that they had the sex talk. He always dismissed it in THE books and I didn’t like that. I hope that he’s truly wanting to wait until marriage for himself. Waiting until marriage because he wants her to wait, is again, choosing for her and that is not cool. It did seem they came to an agreement of sorts but, it also seemed he was choosing for her by the way it was worded.

Very much liked this chapter. They seem so happy now that they are keeping an open communication going. Their dialog is mature. His arguments on his money being hers as well, made valid points. Her explanation on why she’s so off with money, being how her life was with Renee, also very valid points. Their explorations of one another, was fascinating to read. I think him spending those months without her, then add to the fact that when he got to Forks, she was gone and he found more wolves and they had killed Laurent. Then, they saved her in Volterra. He’s easily pushed aside his ability to keep things chaste, as he knows what it is like to be without her. Bella is living the dream she always had to touch him. That was pretty darn steamy her getting him off. I also liked that he told her he does it to himself in the shower while thinking of her. Yummy visual.

I was slightly surprised that Carlisle left so soon getting her to Venice. Was not surprised that Edward stayed behind. I knew he wouldn’t let her out of his sight, now that he had her back where he could se her. I love that she refused to go back to Forks. You do make me wonder if Victoria is still creating her little army but, that is not NM that is E. I digress. Their conversation about his leaving, her believing his lies. Him not feeling that he was worthy of her. That whole conversation was really well done. I’d never thought of it that way before. In all the times I’ve read it. Both have/had insecurities that need to be addressed. I very much liked that she explained why she told Aro no. I figured that was her reason. She didn’t want to live on forever with being in Aro's captivity. Living a red-eye life. That would’ve been hell for her. I really liked her stipulation and that he figured it what it was.
