I'm not very well-versed in Archanea, but this was a great story, here. There were only a few instances of (very slightly) awkward wording, and even then it wasn't bad enough to even mention. (Also, it was probably just my (admittedly) un-knowledgable opinion.)

My word, this was fabulous. I noticed a couple of grammar issues ("breaths no more") and I suppose I see what you mean about the "wonkiness" of being assembled over many months, but overall I am simply bowled over by this story. The characters you chose to focus upon, the way you constructed this, the details with which you paint the occupation- incredible. As much as I appreciated the look at under-appreciated characters like the Sable Knights and Horace, the way you handled the villains, with the tensions between them and the intricate web of loyalties, was wonderful.

For some reason I especially liked the speculation about what Marth might be up to, as I've wondered myself about some of those angles.

The way this ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, with one "happy ending" leading to peril for other innocents, seemed abrupt but appropriate. I'm not going to beg for a sequel, but if you decided to write one... I'm there.

Nice, nice work, my friend! I really liked the insight you provided into Horace's character. You portray him convincingly and sympathetically, IMO-very true to the game. Keep it up! :D
