An Oath To Keep chapter 53 . 7/22 Oh man this was so good. So good. I’m always hesitant to read rewrites of the actual show because what more can you do that the writers haven’t done already but this one surprised me. The parallels between Mai’s character development and Maikos relationship made the entire story and it was all just so good I have no other words |
Guest chapter 53 . 5/31 I know it's been more then a few years. But I do hope you read my appreciation for you and this amazing story, exactly what I was looking for. It was great. |
bashfulbabe02 chapter 53 . 5/17 What a journey... took me only 1 whole day to finish. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of it! |
bashfulbabe02 chapter 8 . 5/16 ‘I would be honoured’?! HAHAHAH I FREAKING LOVE ZUKO |
Guest chapter 53 . 3/25 The epilogue with the gaang joining the party will be more perfect |
Guest chapter 52 . 3/25 The way you make Azula die here, tx |
Ame chapter 50 . 3/25 It's okay, it'sbunderstable that this play version will be darker and less funny |
Ame chapter 47 . 3/25 I like to see this fic as continuity of EE and damn all Ayaka's progress till her (peaceful) death is so emotional. Thank you |
Guest chapter 53 . 6/18/2019 I know that it has been a few years since u wrote this but I must say that there are parts of this story that have made me cheer out loud and parts that have made cry. I absolutely love the way that you have written this and I can think of no better way that Zuko and Mai would have become the fire lord and lady. I’m sad to see this amazing story come to an end but you did an outstanding job with it, and for that, I thank you. |
Bystander chapter 53 . 1/3/2019 So I've tried to read this story multiple times, but I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't really have the patience for longer fics. I've finally gotten to the end though (fifth time's the charm, or whatnot) and figured I should leave a review (although who knows if you see them some 8 years later). I love this story, the way the character development felt natural and how everything seemed cohesive. It wasn't boring, which is a problem with a lot of long fics, especially when recounting events that are very close to canon. I especially love your Mai, because her character reflects the different situation she's been put in without being OOC. Also, Ayaka's progression was fascinating and I'm now slightly invested in the murderous machine of an OC that you drew up. Maybe deadpan girls with sharp things are my weakness, who knows. I sure do like Mai. Your writing is wonderful, and your little interludes about forgetting Momo made me laugh out loud. Actually, a lot of this fic made me laugh out loud. And other parts made me close my computer, walk around the room for a bit, then sit back down and resume reading. I always come back to Mai, and your fics are actually what got me into AtLA in the first place way back in 2012 (although this is shamefully my first review. Apologies). Thanks for introducing me to such a wonderful fandom, and writing so much about a chronically underappreciated character. It's always a joy to read (and reread) the things you write. |
SkiZaz chapter 1 . 1/29/2018 My favourite story. Like all your work i love it. |
Benthatguy chapter 53 . 6/8/2017 I really like your story. Sometimes I felt like the romance was a little over the top and forced but all in all your story was really good |
fernandfeather chapter 45 . 3/18/2017 I think you did a good job portraying Mai's uncle. Also Mai was great in this chapter. |
fernandfeather chapter 13 . 3/17/2017 Poor Iroh! |
Maikoluvr chapter 31 . 7/27/2016 I'm having so much fun reading this story! I've read it before, about 3-4ish years ago but I mostly skimmed it. I skipped lots of parts (the resistance and parts about the Freedom Fighters). But now I'm finally reading the story in its entirety, I'm reading every word, from cover to cover if you will. And I'm really enjoying it and having fun with it! I like how it stays close to the original canon timeline, we are able to see exactly when things are happening. Your writing is so amazing, definitely one of the best I've encountered on this website. The same goes for all your books. And also I'm so excited to read on and I'm excited for the next part, where they finally join the gaang! I may reread Equivalent Exchange next! |
