I don't know what exactly inspired me to open my long abandoned account and find this fic to reread, but I spent the last two days rereading this from start to finish. I can't exactly remember when I last read this (or if I left a review, my apologies) - it must have been years ago - but it is even better than remembered... My heart broke a little when I read your description of Ino's self-realization that she could not go back to being who she was, and I was enthralled by your ability to describe the different layers of each character, whether they wanted to admit it of themselves or not. Naruto and Sasuke were endlessly hilarious in their eavesdropping and matchmaking exploits, and Gaara's growth twinges my heartstrings... I cannot wait to read his and Obito's story when you get there.

And finally, this couple. Infuriating and captivating haha. In all honesty, I preferred Take Me to Save Me for the characters' complexity and the twists to the plot (Fugaku and Madara! Wow! While in a sense Fugaku's caning Sasuke is hypocritical, it also makes a twisted amount of sense... any deviancy/abnormal passion is leverage in his world, and he can't allow his sons to have that weakness. Locking up Obito though... selfish monster). Perhaps you had set out to writing two very different types of fics in the same universe, but perhaps we have also seen your growth as an author?

Anyways, needed a return to some teenage nostalgia and a reminder of simpler times during all the chaos that is the real world right now.

Omg I am having such a hard time reading this long awaited convo between Itachi and Neji. Not because its bad but because it's SO WELL WRITTEN. Anyway. I'm pretty singularly into the whole NaruSasu thing but after rereading Save Me I decided to give this one a shot since I enjoy your writing so much. And dayumn. That was a wild ride. Sinking Mendoza's ships was a nice touch. And poor Tenten.
I almost died when you made it seem like you killed off Sasuke. Though the legacy being a kid was something I called from the first time it was mentioned. But whatever.

Always a pleasure to read your stuff. I was glad to see you'd be back. I need to know when you get your original stuff published. I'd love to be able to support you by buying that shit up. 3.

What's really weird is reading from different POVs and discovering the power balance between characters. I am not necessarily comparing strength deliberately but I take note is certain things , like in 'save me' neji seemed as though he was bested by naruto (during his angry spouts) I mean I guess as his friend he didn't want to seriously fight him back but as a friend I would not allow my best friend to handle me like that. Then I thought Hinayana was the most dangerous fighter in this work, but she herself admitted Neji hold strength over her. Then one more point (bc it seems to have been repeated) naruto has never seriously fought sasuke ... so with that being said it seems to me that his strength is beyond limit. this is a lot of bad cross referencing lol, sorry. I'm not really asking for a ranking list , so if this review seems like a idiotic rant please ignore me lol. I'll just finish this fic now

I'll doubt you'll ask me why, but I had mixed emotions about gaara in 'Save Me' and 'Take Me' ... however , I have no doubt in my mind that both Naruto and Gaara would literally set the world ablaze for Sasuke. It's nice , being cared for like that. I could not believe gaara was about to be deflowered like that . Thank god sasuke isn't a chump

Ok so I have to say , I love the way you've written Hinata's character ! She's so bad ass and she barely has done anything in the fic yet. The only thing I'm slightly disappointed on is the fact that she hasn't handled the situation ( I understand why, she's repeating itachi's plan) but Its like I have a itch I can't scratch, well I'm not even half way done reading so maybe there will be a moment to satisfy this desire I have to see hinata in action. I really wish she was like this in the narutoverse, I'm not really growing upon her mannerism in cannon (bc honestly I am shy and often struggle with anxiety) however I just felt as thought she had so much potential in the manga/anime. Idk if you can tell yet but I'm sort of addicted to you stories. I've read save me and immediately floated to 'Take Me'. As I've done BMH and lesser heroes. Your literally amazing in your writing style .

Time again, I'm left speechless by this series. Re-read Save Me, and this again just now before I start some much-needed work. Odd, and not sure if I should mention this, but rarely switched on the radio and Let Me Love You (JB, and despite how much I dislike him, I find myself liking this song) came on, and all too quickly, I was thinking of Neji and Itachi here. They're screaming for one another in their own ways. And the last chapter, when they're together at last, they're letting the other love them. Neji telling Itachi to take him left me with shivers again. Everything they've come through between them, behind them, ahead of them. I love it, I love it so much my thoughts are muddled and I'm not putting this across eloquently at all...!
I'd forgotten about Itachi sinking Mendoza's fleet! It made me laugh again, and marvel at his jealousy. Knowing what the legacy was while reading it a second time around did that wonderful thing that happens when you read a great story again - you notice things you never realised the first time around, and gain something new each time. I think the first time I read this, my eyes and mind were racing ahead greedily, drinking it all in to know what happens, to know, to know, to read faster and drown. This time, I made myself slow down, re-read certain paragraphs, and again, I'm left stunned. I love this series with a passion, and I honestly cannot wait for In Me and Tame Me. As I said last time, I love Hinata, and Ino. Sasuke, and his relationship with Itachi, exploring their childhood was so, so sweet. This series explored more of their flaws than Save Me did; we saw a much wider selection of characters' weaknesses here, explored through lots of different angles and arrghhhh I'm rambling. I'm so in love with your work, but especially this series. More than I will ever be able to say. Thank you, endlessly, as always. Thank you for sharing your talent and hard work with us.

First off, I would like to say that I love not only this story, Save Me as well. I know I have been a bad reader since I believe that I did not comment at all on Save Me and immediately jumped into reading Take Me. The life you have breathe into all of these characters is wonderful and I can not wait to read more of your writing, especially the continuation of this universe. I don't know how after all of these years reading multiple works on this site how I overlooked yours. I hope you do continue these wonderful stories and I look forward to when you post In Me. If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times. This has to be one of the most moving endings I have read in a really long time. It's crazy how much I want to dissect this story and give it a long, heartfelt, thorough, long review to put in the reviews. This is an unhealthy practice, and I realize that.
That being said, favorite line from this chapter has to be Sasuke's "Fight all you like with him. You're married to the man now. He's not going anywhere...[- Marriage life goals.]

P.S, if you ever start taking request for story ideas, is it possible you can do a time/space travel? Where Sasuke from present day Konoha gets transported back in time to the regular 'Naruto story' Konoha and ends up meeting the rest of the cast there? And he gets sent back in time b/c that timeline's Sasuke gets killed off or some other horrible tragedy and he has to learn how to be a ninja while also potentially not going home. Or something like that. Not like I thought about it much.

Can't wait for Mondoza, which will be a magnificent addition to the Save me universe. Best of luck with your writing.
