This is very beautfully written and I wish Libba Bray somehow added it into the novel. I would have loved for you to lengthen it a bit with that moment before she pushes him away, like he feels her uncertainty again, maybe her kiss isn't as passionate. But overall Love it!

I wish you would write more one-shots from Kartik's POV . Your really good . This is one of my favorite Gemma Doyle Trilogy fanfictions !
