Oh my God, I loved this story so much. There's so much that's incredible about it, I don't know if I can properly express it all... Also, I want more.

Firstly, you're amazing to be able to make me just LOVE Jim this way-he's not a Big Damn Hero, he doesn't have a tragic past like Tarsus, he's not Captain of the Enterprise (man, I love AUs), but you Made It Work so, so well. I love it that he was this genius, that he had a real life and that he enjoyed that life-he's freaking radiant and energetic and fun and funny and I wanted to watch him forever.

Spock-Oh man. Fell in love. The way you built up his character was amazing. So polite, so polished, sophisticated and yet raw and also shy and wonderful. I loved that not only was he intriguing but he was intrigued, by Jim, which just felt so right. You made it feel so right, the way they were drawn to each other, the way they just LIKED each other. I hate how some authors make Kirk and Spock love each other but miss that part about actually, you know, LIKING each other and enjoying each other's company. Also,jeez, if Spock in the STXI movie had been this badass and yet still so NICE and POLITE, I would've fainted over him on the spot (much like Jim did, basically, haha).

I think that was one of the strongest things about this story-you built up their relationship THROUGH THEIR INTERACTIONS. Seriously, that should seem obvious, but so many authors (in general, not necessarily this fandom in particular) mess it up, as if building Kirk and Spock (through their individual backstories) to need each other is enough, then BAM-put them into a room together and it's instant Twoo Wuv. But no. It's not enough. If their interactions don't sing, if their chemistry doesn't crackle from the page IN SCENE, in the here-and-now, then the relationship isn't alive. It's telling and not showing and I can't believe in it even though I desperately want to. But YOU! Miraculous YOU! You /showed/ me all throughout the book who they both were, why they both liked each other, why they made sense. I simply ENJOYED seeing them together. It was beautiful.

Truly, well done. I haven't flat out ENJOYED an STXI AU like that since I don't know when. The story just sparkled; it had this wonderful kind of vivacity and radiance and joie de vivre, I don't know. I lost count of how often I smiled. Thank you for writing it, and I sincerely, desperately hope that you get the urge to write another AU, whatever time or place that may be.

Gorgeous story. Loved how fast it moved, and lovely dialogue between the two main characters. I also love the ending. Jim and Spock didn't quite skip off happily into the sunset, but you're left with the feeling that things will work out just fine for them. :)

This might be a bit odd, but I think my favorite part was the few paragraphs where Kirk explained to Spock why he loves his life and job. "-it's like—sitting underneath a sunbeam but never getting sweaty." Pure poetry.

I loved how very polite and civil Jim and Spock's talks were even though Spock was always tying him up or kidnapping him etc.

Love your Bones, he's awesome and cuddly. Cheese slices under the bathroom door, priceless!

I can't even tell you how fantastic this was. After reading the first part, I was extremely eager for more, and I'm really glad you wrapped it up with a happy ending. Made me smile a bit (And the image of Spock in skinny jeans is just torturous). Every time I read your work, I'm amazed at your imagination. You don't always see phenomenal talent like this. As for the being a professional Star Trek writer, I think you should seriously consider it. You're amazing and I look to you for inspiration. Thanks for sharing this wonderful story :)
