Very interesting! I like your take on Granny Smith's characterization - she comes across as very world-wise. The Apple family dynamic here is very good too.

Hmmm... this one comes off as more difficult to review than the others.

Mostly, I guess, because I tend to agree more with Applejack than her kin in these kinds of situations. Not that I don't realize that the world is a cruel place at times, but I'm a firm believer in honest business dealings.

You made up for that at the end, but conflicting emotions pestered me until I got that far.

That and I didn't really like the idea that Applejack came home to a lecture, especially after I'm sure she was feeling downright distraught, as you portrayed her. She probably didn't get much sleep that night.

Granny Smith comes off being a little less senile than the shows made her out to be, but her general lack of screentime (and the exaggeration of her elderly status) leads me to believe that she could very well be obfuscating.

Still, not all lessons learned are kind ones.
