Best. Ending. Ever.

Ah, I love this fic! Originally read it on AO3, but I've been going through fics on here and it popped up so I was like "eh why not reread it?" Still just as good as it was the first time around! Your writing is great and I love the ending it was so nice, so happy, after the emotional mess of the rest.

This was wonderful, I have no other words for this.

Wow, what a fantastic read! I was quite pleased with the ending, as I for one prefer to end on a happy note (and feared from chapter seven that it would end depressingly).
The use of quotes from the game (even the fusions!) was done very well. You clearly put a lot of effort into assuring everyone was in character. My only criticism is that some quotes were a bit excessive, but it wasn't noticeable until I was into the last chapter, so I wouldn't personally change anything.
Pacing was great as well. I was actually so impressed by how you managed not to move too fast through the plot I consciously noted it while reading! It wasn't too slow either, I never really lost interest.
Character development, however, is the greatest aspect of your writing here. You managed your OCs very, very well (not too much focus to make them annoying, but we understand them enough). I though Aidan and Chiaki as a relationship parallel was very clever. Neku's development both on his own and with Joshua was depicted realistically. All too often authors get excited about the end result and rush through it a bit. You, however, did not, and it paid off overall by making their relationship all the more fulfilling!
Some of the description, specifically descriptions of eyes, were a bit wordy, but otherwise the diction was clear and direct.
In conclusion, this was a wonderful story, told by good writing and with some really clever themes. The mix of romance, drama, and even a little humor was done impressively well and with obvious skill! You should be very proud of your work, although I'm sure you have been told that before! I'll look out for you, Shinigami Yumi, and take a look at your other works. Thanks for the journey!

This was an amazing story! I barely have words to express how exactly I adored it. I mean, usually, despite the fact that someone updates late, I don't usually reread a fic (I don't usually do it whatever the case), but with yours, I reread the whole thing with a passion! And not only that, but despite the fact I knew what was happening, I managed to feel exactly, if not more, what I felt before throughout the reading.

The characters are spot on, the story is well described and developped and the heartwrenching scenes... my god, the heartwrenching scenes! Chapter six tore me apart! The way Joshua speaks to Neku is so beautiful and painfully sad... seriously, that was my favourite part and you rendered it with perfection!

I played TWEWY years ago, so I don't remember a lot, but I still get that Joshua/Neku feels sometimes and finding your fic was the best thing about it. I can say that it was my favourite by far.

I know you're probably really busy and focusing on other fandoms right now, but I thought I'd leave a review just to let you know that this story makes me really, really happy. It's one of the most honest, beautiful, heart-gripping TWEWY fics I've ever read - just like the game itself.
So I was hoping that maybe, if you knew that there were still people out there reading and adoring this story, it might send some inspiration your way? I realize this sounds super pathetic. But this isn't my first time reading this story, and every time I come back to it hoping that maybe there will be a new chapter to soothe my aching heart.

Oh wow, this fic is truly awesome. Unbelievably In Character, with a really good plot, and well-written! I do believe it's my new favorite on the whole fandom! I read on your profile that you're still working on it when you have the time, and I dearly hope that you'll finish it.

I really love the way you write Joshua. Few writers would be able to keep his deviousness intact while still letting his humanity shine through so subtly. And Neku's reactions to him! Absolutely authentic, for our unending fun and joy! XD All the other characters, too, are really well written. They are not as present as they could be, but as I am more focused on Joshua and Neku, I'm not complaining. :3 I did like seeing Uzuki and Kariya, though, this pair never fails to make me smile!

Speaking of which, I am curious about one choice you've made (inconsequential as it is). In chapter 6, you decided to have BJ's call from the Phone Booth of Love be to Maya, to better tie her to the story I guess. But the game strongly implies that he had actually been calling Uzuki (Neku and Josh see her receiving a weird phone call on the same day), so I wondered if you had simply not remembered, or made a conscious choice to alter that? Like I said, it doesn't have much importance at all, I'm just curious. :3

Anyway, I wish you the best of luck to finish this story. Enishi is a slimy and creepy kid and I really want to see someone smack him around a few rounds! I also wonder if Neku will end up being Joshua's Conductor in this fanfiction... I mean, it does look like he'll get another death experience. O.o Hope to hear from you soon!

So close to the finish line and yet so far away... I suppose it's my own doing by not paying attention the the dates and complete/in-progress status. We are reaching the last chapter's anniversary... perhaps the finale will reveal itself then?

I can promise you I will be checking this story religiously in hopes of a future update. Writer's block? Can't find the inspiration? Well I hope whatever it is that holds you back isn't strong enough to prevent you from finishing one day; I could see this story being finished in a single chapter anyway.
