I love the idea of future cloud being a limit break for current cloud and he only shows up when their is a chance to change something big.

This story was great! I like the gradual shift instead of the immediate transition to future-self. It allows the story more realism, and it flows better. You have a great style too–I could see everything in my head as it happened. Good luck with your future writing, and God bless!

I really appreciate the fact that this time travel story was so brief, but at the same time mourn that fact. But I get your point about the endless possibilities you would've encountered.

The pacing was excellent. While readers were aware that some sort of time travel hullabaloo was occurring, it wasn't revealed explicitly until the end.

Cloud's speech was very powerful. What better words to use and include reason with than one's (Angeal's) own? Angeal had very deep beliefs about his honor and Cloud did really well at getting his message through to him. It's moments like these that I search for in any time travel story. Well done.

Just one question about the story: At the end, is future!Cloud remaining there in the body or fading away back to being past!Cloud? The line: "...but Cloud's eyes still glowed with mako, though that too seemed to dim" confused me.

Great story and nice idea. I never really liked how this part went in the game. I was all like "Angeal you big dummy why did you go and do something that stupid. I thought you were supposed to be the sensible one around here."
Ok mini-rant over *giggles* Well at least it's nice to see it from the view of someone other than the time traveler, and the fact that Zack noticed the differences before Cloud himself was hilarious.
I've always wondered why no one ever started time travel stories from Modeheim, or Banora, or even... Hmmmm I got an idea now, but I have to think it out first, *grins* I'll get back to you if it pans out

Huh, this is an interesting premise. It makes me wonder if this was just future!Cloud only comes back once to change a certain event, or if he just you know, pops in and out at certain moments. Though, to be honest, I'm not sure how the second would work. xD

And your second challenge would definitely be rather fun to think about, though I haven't a clue which event I would choose. Nothing pops out to me yet, anyway.

Anyway, it's always fun to read something different! I liked this piece.
