This was a very interesting one shot. I must say that I haven't read anything like it. I do find it interesting at the holes in the story...it makes it more realistic as if he is living in a stream of consciousness blanking out the bad details and events he doesn't want to remember.

There is one thing I think you lost me at...and that is how is he supposed to buy alcohol if he's still a teenager/kid? Also there probably should have been a little more background information about what exactly took place with him and Charlene.

This is such a dark fic! I feel so bad for Alvie, having his heart broken by Charlene! But Alvie reacting by replacing red with black as his favorite color? And turning to booze and cutting? Poor Alvie, his life has really gone downhill!

Of course the press are no help, jumping on the scandal and going with Charlene's account of it. At least Alvie stands up for Theo when he's attacked by the same guy Charlene picked over Alvie!

Finally Alvie runs away, leaving a tearful Britt in the process. What's going to happen when Dave, Simon and Theo find out Alvie has left? Are they going to try and find him? Will Alvie come out of his spiral?
