No matter how long it’s been, Dearly Beloved is always a good read. I really like how you can easily take your reader up in a roller coaster of emotions. I say easily because we willingly follow. I hope you’re doing well. It’s too bad Y!G went down. Also, I had to go through several chapter before I could post this review. Apparently I have reviewed on most of them.

I came here several years too late but I absolutely love this fic. The snark, the pacing, the characters, everything! Looks like it won't be updated anymore but I wanted to say that I enjoyed your writing very much!

Okay, you wanna know what I hate more than bad fanfics? Really good fanfics left UNDONE! And yeah, I’m well aware that this story is discontinued, but that doesn’t make it any better! Cereal could’ve at least - AT LEAST - give an essay/synopsis of how the story is going to end.

But here’s the bare bones of how I see this:
As he’s reintroduced to why he loved Naruto so much in the first place, Sasuke would steadily become disinclined to be with Shukaku romantically. Then Shukaku would gradually show his true colors as an untrustworthy bastard. Sasuke copes with the betrayal, with Naruto helping him. At one point Naruto remarks this is how he handled heartbreak after their divorce. At that, Sasuke gets an epiphany, and realizes that what he’s feeling isn’t heartbreak but self-loathing that he allowed himself to be seduced by someone who’s purely face value; never mind the irony that Shukaku really did betray him, comparison to when he had thought Naruto betrayed him. The two would eventually talk about the past and where their relationship ultimately went wrong, and exchange heartfelt apologies (especially Sasuke, I feel he should be apologizing the most). As time passes, Fugaku would eventually get off his high horse and take the time to apologize to Sasuke and definitely Naruto. As more time passes, Sasuke has long since come to terms that his feelings for Naruto remains strong, only had been locked away. Sasuke wants to give himself and Naruto a chance, but they simply can’t just jump into it, so they agree to take it slow. After a few weeks of dating, Sasuke initiates that they could be physically intimate.

Two things could happen: 1, Naruto could wholeheartedly agree; or 2, Naruto isn’t particularly ready to go all the way. I feel it’ll be the latter, so they just start off with making out and then foreplay. Eventually, they’ll be completely intimate again, and Sasuke can’t help but question why he easily gave this up (Shukaku may have been ‘great’, but the emotional intensity only Naruto could ever give him makes Shukaku GREATLY pale in comparison). Basking in the afterglow of their first time together in years, Sasuke would verbalize his love for Naruto, leading Naruto to tear up and profess his love for Sasuke. As Naruto continues to cry Sasuke would cradle Naruto in his arms while fondly calling him a “big baby”.

More time passes - perhaps three more years - and on the day that would’ve been their anniversary, Sasuke proposes to Naruto, proclaiming that their bond should never have been severed. Naruto would claim that their bond has never been severed, merely locked away, before representing the ring he planned to propose Sasuke with. They placed their engagement rings on each other, share a tender kiss, and then a time jump to them kissing on their renewed wedding day. Maybe Shukaku would show up during their reception, where and he and Sasuke have closure and Shukaku wishing Sasuke luck the second time around with Naruto (depending if Shukaku turns out to not be that bad of a dude).

Sakura... I imagine Sakura cause a bit of trouble, but it’ll be quickly handled and I like to imagine Madara being the one to deal with her and put her in her place. Maybe she and Shukaku would hook up and attend Sasuke and Naruto’s wedding together, where Sakura could patch things up with Naruto and apologize to Sasuke (again, depending if she didn’t do anything unforgivable).

Overall, Sasuke and Naruto are happily together, this time nothing threatening them to tear them apart. And I like to think eventually they would adopt a child from Puerto Rico, maybe a sweet baby/little girl named Amaya. Ultimately wrapping everything up, and the pair is finally free of heartbreak.

This is most likely nowhere near how the story would’ve ended and I might’ve missed some key points since it’s been a while since I read the story as a whole. But I felt the need to tackle the vital points, such as Sasuke and Naruto’s broken relationship and how they would reconnect and replenish their love again.

Overall, it’s therapeutic imagining how things would’ve reconciled between a broken pairing clearly still in love, only in stupid denial. But another way to get over the bane of incompletion is to find a story even more favored and is actually complete.

Which is why I suggest The Thin Line Between Love and Hate by Kizukatana. It has somewhat similar elements to this story, is more favored, and it’s a complete story (while ironically just being ONE chapter longer than this fanfic). Hopefully this would help those still going through withdrawals over the loss of completion of a story that bears ample potential.

I recently discovered your stories and I decided to read this knowing it was an incomplete fic. I just really love reading your work. For me, the way you write Naruto and Sasuke is really spot on. I'm really impressed with how you built Naruto in this fic. His Spanish heritage, his maturity, his sophistication. He's just so darn sexy! I loved his cute relationship with Mikoto too, it melted my heart to hear him call her "mama". I've never quite read Naruto portrayed this way, which was a breath of fresh air. Your Sasuke is good too. I like that you didn't make him too submissive.
Anyway, this was a good read. I wasn't expecting all that plot to hit me in the face. It's definitely a good thing though. I couldn't quite pick just who's side I was on! Sasuke and Naruto are obviously both flawed individuals that need to work on improving themselves. I'm glad that towards chapter 7 and 8, they finally start being civil around one another. I can tell that the love is still there. Naruto's small (yet grand) acts of kindness really touched me. However what worries me is Shu. I don't really like him. I'm also worried about Naruto's "mistress". Who is she? And what will happen when Sasuke finally reads that file Shikamaru gave him? Damn. It gives me so much anxiety just thinking about how that could tear them apart AGAIN.
On the other hand, I really loved your Shikamaru. He's like a spy! The guy has wire taps on everyone's phones..he's so sneaky and cunning I loved it.
Anyway, thank for sharing this story with us. I've been unable to put it down. It's given me a couple of headcanons which is always fun. I really hope you can get around to completing the story. It will make me the happiest person alive, no joke. Hopefully everything is well with you. :)

This is the one fic that I constantly come back to cry about that isn't finished. I hope by miracle you one day return to make my dreams come true.

I just re-read this story again, for I can't even recall how many times. I am so sad that it never got a chance to be completed. I loved how it was all going and there are still so many unanswered questions. I miss your stories and writing in general. I will just keep re-reading :)
