I felt the need to leave a review because lmao I had a dream last night about "The Mummy" it was pretty cool kicking ass and all that lmaoooo. Anyways, I woke up this morning to read your next chapter and was like how cool would it be if she did like a crossover of sorts with The Mummy. All of a sudden as I'm reading "Evelyn's" name I'm like wait...what was her last name again? I go back a chapter and then I read "Rick." Lmao well I literally facepalmed at my slow-wittedness. I couldn't help but laugh at myself though. This is why I love your story though! It's so well thought out and the way it all weaves together it's just amazing! Marriage is a weird thing! I personally have no aspirations for it, but I feel like saying you never will just sets you up for one heck of a shocker. I like to think of it as ‘I don’t think I will, but who knows?’

I think I would’ve considered marriage if it was this friggin simple! I love how simple it is for Atem and Bali. And can we just appreciate how certain Atem is in Bali? I love that, I’m betting he also thinks the war goddess would scare any potential suitors away too.

I was always curious about royalty logic of keeping things in the family. The pharaoh is supposed to be a god made flesh, and taunting the bloodline was bad, but I really wonder how that actually began? Thoughts?

No, it doesn’t make you sound old. I watched FMA when it first came out, I was- 8? And then the reboot came out and I was all over that. I wrote this doc back in 2013 and it was a mess, so I started rewriting it, I tried to do once per week but- life happened- but now with Covid I’m doing nothing but writing.

Well this is just great. Gosh Bali, can’t you have a normal day for once? Lol I kid, but yeah, I appreciate you replying. I understand the dreaded writer’s block, it’s hard to get over. I’ve got a FMA fanfic that I’m also rewriting and gosh darn it it’s hard! I’ve got the outline fully written out, but it’s like watching paint dry trying to rewrite it. It desperately needed rewriting though so I don’t feel bad in that sense.

Anyway, here’s hoping your ADD doesn’t kick you too hard! One thing I find that helps is writing 500 words of your next chapter immediately after finishing the previous. That way you have a flow to catch on to and can work with!

I’m way too lazy to log in, but I came across this story and it seemed so familiar. I couldn’t put my thumb on it, this it dawned on me that I read it a loooong time ago, and that this story had been a lot of inspiration for me to start writing.

I can’t say I remember all of what happened in the original, but I can say that this story is wonderful. So happy you’re rewriting it! I’ll be eagerly awaiting more updates!

Oh also I love your little fun facts about Egypt, I love history and learning about little tidbits is cool.

This chapter was cute af! I love seeing Bali breaking out of her comfort zone and trying new things. Although I won't lie, I kinda cringed imagining what the hangover tonic could be made of. But I suppose things like that should remain a mystery. I also liked the atmosphere you created for Atem's coronation. It was fun trying to visualize it in my head.

Nice chapters

I blew through this story, and I’ve gotta say I’m really excited to see that this was updated recently! Sure, the oddball spelling errors in the first few chapters were off putting, but the plot and characterization easily make up for it! I’ll admit to being curious as to whether you’ll end up tying in the yugioh plot with your story, but it seems like you can get along fine with or without it! One of my favorite features of your fic would probably have to be how Ra talks in her head with commentary, I’ve always been a sucker for fanfics that do that with certain characters XD. All in all, however, I really do like your fic and hope to see it update sometime in the future!

Omg I am so happy you replied to me! It is an honor to meet another Sagittarius (I don't meet a lot of them, heh) and I was so excited to see your update! I'm glad you got things going again, but man, the ending to this got me shook. What did Isis mean about that? What is going to happen to the Pharaoh, Bali, or their kids? It got so ominous, I felt chills down my spine! I NEED ANSWERS! *taps mobile screen rapidly* EXPLAIN! XD I seriously love how you write: you can picture the characters saying those lines completely and you captured their personalities well. Personally, I am afraid to write canon characters because I am desperate not to make them OOC, but you are handling it so well! Got any tips you can offer?

Reading that last line and being left on a cliffhanger like that just kinda... stabbed me in the heart. It's the perfect trap card lol. This story is amazing! (I spent the past three days reading everything XD) and this is one of my favorite stories; especially how well Bali fits into it! She is a lovely character and I wish she was in the actual series because that character has grown on me so much. I love her to death-her stubbornness and her impulsiveness and so much more! She is a perfect match for Atem! I hope you update soon because it is that good! 44 chapters so far? I can't even make that much even if I tried (I get writer's block very easily). Anywho, I look forward to your update (try not to take too long ;) ) and I can't wait for this story to come in full circle!

I just want you to know that I've been reading this story since I was a senior in high school. I'm 24 now and whenever I had to get a new computer I always go on here to bookmark this story and reread while patiently waiting for an update. I'm happy that you're still around and it's okay if life gets in the way. It does that sometimes lol.
