Omg this has to be one of my absolute favorite ficlets out there. It was just amazing! I loved every piece of it, every sentence, every letter, every emotion. This was perfection at its whole.
I think you nailed perfectly Chi-Chi’s character… heck, the characterization for everyone was perfect to me. You described so well her insecurities, fears and regrets. I think you understand her very well and what goes through her mind.

You also have a great grasp of Chi-Chi’s relationship with other characters. Piccolo is indeed one of Chi-Chi’s best friend, he’s part of her family already and I also approve the good friendship between her and Yamcha, which I actually see feasible. It doesn’t help that I actually like Yamcha a lot, so I don’t like how most people write him as a jerk and playboy. I genuinely think he is a good guy and giving the way he took care of her at the end of DB, well, it says a lot about him as a person and friend. That and the fact I lowkey ship them, very, very lowkey.

You almost made me tear up with the whole conversation between Chi-Chi and Goku. When he broke down admitting his life on the Other world wasn’t as satisfactory as he expected and how much he missed his family, oh boy that was a punch direct to my heart. It was so sad but heartwarming in a way. I really enjoyed this fic so much that I’m not making any sense anymore, so I’ll drop it here. It’s been an absolute delight reading your work. Take care.

MY HEART! MY HEART IS BURSTING! It's been years, YEARS, since I've watched dbz, yet this brought me back and with more emotion and depth through Chichi's eyes - I loved everything about this one-shot! I wasn't expecting Goku to break down, oh my days, that killed me, and Chichi's resolve to keep herself in check before he arrived - then crumble when they were alone. So many nuances and the theme of forgiveness and reconnecting, and my god, their love! *sobs* I'm a mess, thank you for reminding why I love them. I can believe this happened in the canon version, no one can convince me otherwise.

I pretty much lost it at the part where Goku tells Chichi how much he misses her and how thankful he is that she still loves him despite everything else. I think it was surprising and comforting to know that he thought about her all the time. He would have understood if she found someone else. I love this fic. It's so full of goodness and love.

Just realized I didn't review this gem of a story. Frankly, I am disgusted with myself. This is DEFINITELY the best Chi-Chi/Goku story I have every read, and I have read A LOT. This is definitely one of my favorite one shots, and I have read it maybe 4/5 times (This number will continue growing). Truly, it's excellent, and I think any Goku/Chi-chi fan should read it sometime in their life. The characters are written so perfectly, and the emotions are so...RAW! This story has inspired me to be a better writer, and it's ridiculous how good of a writer you are. Thank you for writing this classic which I can return to time and time again.

This is so beautiful. I am left breathless reading this. It's like the world had just stopped spinning and everyone stopped what they're doing to witness this one moment between Goku and Chichi. Nothing else mattered but this couple. Their reunion is so special, so beautiful I almost cried. I am just amazed with the way you've written this story. It's really beautiful. One of the best stories I've ever read!

p.s. It's also so great to see Yamcha, Piccolo and Vegeta, give advice to Chichi. To think that they were once enemies of Son Goku at some point in the past. I love it!

Omg Omg... just.. words fail to describe just how much of a genius you are. I just... seriously... I SIT IN AWE WOMAN! Fudge, and I LOVED the way you wrote Goku...just, perfect. The way you describe his hidden passion and his internal turmoil.. just perfect. Gah, I wish you could fav you again and again and again! Heh.
