I an crying right now! That was gold, my friend. Pure. Gold.

Besides being hilarious, this line bizarrely reminds me of myself in an adventure I had once with my friends.
We were alone in a classroom after school, and we saw something on the window - we thought it was a wasp, at first, but it was freakishly huge. Turned out it was actually a hornet - those beasts are HUGE, let me tell you. And quite terrifying, really. Not to mention dangerous - not lethal dangerous, unless you have an allergy or they all attack you at once, but... dangerous.
Anyway I, being the ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT child I was (which means I was completely nuts), decided that instead of trying to kill it, and making it mad in case we fail, we should capture it and throw it outside the window. I put a glass on it and of course THEN it got mad and started buzzing and flying around INSIDE the glass.
Which made me panic, because it was right under my palm - and even separated with glass that angry hornet was scary as crap.
So I stood there, completely paralyzed with fear, and started screaming, which scared my friends who also started screaming, which agitated the hornet more and it started buzzing so loudly for a moment I thought it would escape and attack me, so I started screaming louder and-
(sigh) Well, it wasn't pretty. Eventually I - totally heroically! - managed to throw it out and shut the window, and we all survived. I'm still scarred for life though.
...
Even so, this story is gold xD Even though I can't believe it made me sympathize with Arthur. I feel like an utter clotpole now. ;3

i found this story several years ago and come back every once and awhile to reread it...it makes me smile and giggle every time!
