This is really an excellent re-write, I could really see it happening! I like that you kept some of the end quotes the same, and "Blu's itty bitty birdybrain" made me laugh. You have Blu and Jewel (and the rest) in character, and I do like Blu's awkward way of sharing his feelings. :)

Well, i never read before a remake of this part of the story. Nice, i liked it, it was more dramatic.

I, like you, also loved that movie. So much that I watch it at least once a month. I loved the seen you created more than the original seen. I might be crazy for liking almost any animated animal movie or tv show like mlp as you know from my other review, but I just love mlp and Rio. FYI I'm a guy that's 15 and most importantly I'm not gay

i really liked this and i wished that id seen a chapter twoat the bottom of the page but oh well. It was beautifully written and the mood for the scene was perfect. I hope you continue writing Rio fanfics.

Blu wouldn't assume that Jewel likes him, and he probably won't jump to the conclusion that he won't be able to support Jewel, because he'll just think he's not good enough for her...

This is how I imagined that the movie should have gone down. (Not gonna be in story form... though I might do that, hey you inspired me! :D)

Blu watches Jewel fly away and sighs then wakes away. Jewel sees him and flies down they talk and argue and Pedro (really just not helping) says awkwardSCENE!

Rafael: Okay, Okay. You know what this is good, let's just clear the air! Be completely honest with each other.

Blu: Fine... Fine! I can be honest. I don't belong here. I never wanted to come here in the first place. And... and... and I love you Jewel, I love you! But I'm just kidding myself you don't want anything to do with me.

Blu waves a wing and walks off into an Alley. After Recovering from shock Rafael flew after him.

Jewel looks at where Blu goes and calls after him.

Jewel: Blu... BLU!

She starts to go towards him but just as she was about to take off Nigel lands right behind her and takes her away probably uttering some painfully crazy and insane comment as he does... like hello PRETTY BIRD or something.

Gotta love the touchy scenes. But Blue Skies was thinking that these emotional scenes would be better replaced by a humoristic fight scene, unfortunately.

great! you did well in capturing Blu's nervous personality, but i dont think you did so well with Jewels, she is a more stronger person (well, bird ;) ), but to be honest she is a very hard and confusing character to work with, so i tip my metaphorical hat to you, you did a great job with her ;)

great story, and i love the change this would have definitely made a better scene then the one the movie offers. although seeing this makes me wonder if there will be any deleted scenes when the DVD is released.
