I like a lot the fact that you don't rush things between them. Your flash-back of Johanna's past in the arena, the switch from the fragile and crying girl to the Johanna we know is fascinating.
I love the way you make them slowly evolving. Nothing is easy for them, it could not have been.
Your style has a rythm which make it very easy to read. It give a touch of bitterness in their story that I like a lot. Specially in the last words.
