McHammy chapter 1 . 4/25/2011 Oh that was really sweet Loopsta. So glad Virgil got to spend his birthday with all the family. |
Sam1 chapter 1 . 4/25/2011 Aww that was a cute little ficlet, Loopsta! I was a bit worried that Virgil's day was going to be ruined but you turned it around quite nicely! Awesome bit of family fluff with just a teensy tiny bit of bad Scott. Seriously, I was laughing at Jeff's warning that Scott mind his language. For some reason, I recall saying something similar to either - or both - you and Angel-sue. hee hee |
bubzchoc chapter 1 . 4/24/2011 excellent story |
Angel-Sue76 chapter 1 . 4/24/2011 aww that was brilliant and thank you so much for the birthday present it was absolutely wicked. Mine was late too remember hee hee. Brilliant story and I loved how Virgil kept trying to pick himself up and not let things get him down. I kept it from all my colleagues at work until someone told them hee hee. Loved the way all the boys ended up together to celebrate. Absolutely brilliant honey. Love ya. |
Silver Bee chapter 1 . 4/24/2011 This had everything I want from a TB story – lots of Virgil, young Tracys and a lot of brotherly – and fatherly and even grandmotherly – bonding. You got into Virgil’s head perfectly and Gordon was gorgeous. Poor little Virg – as if the family issues weren’t enough you give him the timetable from hell at school – no wonder so many kids take the day off on their birthday! You’ll have made John happy though – camp for kids who like that sort of thing... no fishing then? Loved it – definitely worth staying awake for! |
ofermode chapter 1 . 4/24/2011 Yay! I was worried you were going to ruin Virgil's birthday there! Is there any of that cake left? :) |
Teobi chapter 1 . 4/24/2011 Wahey! Hooray for waking up to new stories! No-one does angst like you, Loops, and your stories are always so amazingly crammed with detail, even the one-shots! Poor Virg, worrying about his brothers not being there for his birthday. John and his Brainy Kids School Camp, aw, I can just picture it! Typical of the younger boys to sulk over not getting pancakes even though it isn't either of their birthdays. It's so hard teaching little kids how to be fair (especially when they stick their lower lip out). Love the image of Alan following Gordon around wherever he goes. I used to hate having birthdays on a school day. I never told anyone either. Some of the kids used to bring cakes in and everything- shudder. Ooooooh, Scott's old enough to drive! *meep* excuse me while I have another Cougar moment. *bites hand* It's great that the two older boys were able to make it back for Virgil's birthday after all that worrying that no-one would show. Lovely picture of family togetherness at the end. Another great one, Loops! Tx |
JOTRACY123 chapter 1 . 4/23/2011 hi honey, i loved that, its nice not seeing you being so mean lol. loved loved loved loved loved it. great work hon xxxx |
LiGi chapter 1 . 4/23/2011 Damn you Loopsta, I was just about to turn my computer off and go to bed when I saw this story, and, well, I just HAD to read it. I'm glad I did though, as always a super story, definitely worth staying up to read! I love little Virgy, poor kid, no twelve year old wants to be 'abandoned' on their birthday. He just wants his family there. And yay that he got them! Grandma trying to keep him happy even though Jeff was AWOL, Gordon being as gorgeous as always with the best hug in the world! Then sweet tired Johnny with his hair sticking up in all directions - awwww - and Scotty, his car broke down... ahehehe! At least they all made it home in time to see grumpy Virg! Well, not grumpy once he turned the light on! And I love the fact he is so determined to blow out all the candles in one go! I remember when I was... seven, I think, I missed one of the candles and got really upset that that meant I wasn't actually seven and I would have to stay six for another year until I could blow out all the candles! Oh dear, hehe, at least I had my Scott-like big sister to cheer me up! Hmmm... I might turn that into a story now! Anyway, I loved this story and I'm glad Virgy got the happy special day he deserved!
