This story is really twisting my heart.

I like how you bring Liara into it (as a complication of her emotions and possibly the future).
Also, how you make a badass bitch tender also; now that's one hell of a balancing act and you nailed it :-)

I'm very intrigued by your story. Glad to have discovered it the other day and I've been reading through it since. I like your approach to Shepard and Jack's growing intimacy and then the twists you have thrown in to the feeling of indebtedness that Shepard feels towards her past with Liara and the caring personality of Kelly that is picking up the slack Shepard's distancing is creating with Jack. Great job so far!

Thank you SO much for getting this out! It was a morsel, but one worth the wait.

I nervously anticipate the eventual rising of tensions to a fever pitch. It's like Coke and Mentos is super slo-mo: the end result isn't going to be pretty, but it's watching the problem unfold in very paced manner that's most torturous. I really hope Shepard forgets about Liara and reconciles with Jack honestly, but not before getting her comeuppance in some way.

jesus christ! i'm kinda seriously disliking your Shepard just a bit i really am...even if it is a little hypocritcal of me seeing as my Adrian Shepard always ends up cheating on Miranda with that pretty and kinda funny new reporter woman.
