Holy. Fucking. Shit. I went trolling for Feverfic, having no idea I'd find one with your name on it. This is all kinds of fabulous-LOVED getting a peek inside Barrons' head.

When is it revealed that he has a son, though? I'm a little more than halfway through Dreamfever & don't remember anything about that.

This is the first Dreamfever fic of any sort that I've read and I loved it. Ive always wanted to be inside of Barrons' head... I think you did a great job of writing him.

I love that you included some emotion, but kept it very self contained. I couldn't imagine him being any other way.

Thank you so much for writing this. I loved the Fever Series and Jericho Barrons was the characters that I could never figure out until the last book. I loved how you wrote him black and white. In his eyes there is no gray. He loved Mac. He craved her like no one else. You gave us a glimpse of his brilliant mind and he thinks. Katinki rec'd this to me on twitter and I'm glad that she did. You gave him so much justice in my eyes. Thank you, again.

Oooooh I found another one. Wow. It's really great to see you writing in this universe. It's so insanely rich with possibilities. Jericho and Mac are extremely complex creatures with far too much power for their own good. To say Barrons only sees things in black and white is a great observation. He believes there are things that you can live with and thing you cannot live without. That's as simple as it gets for a creature who has lived how many millions of years, with the knowledge he possesses, we all should be ants beneath his feet. He greatly desires the Sinsar Dubh to free his son but it's interesting to note, unbeknownst to them, Mac really was the culmination of his greatest desires. A woman who could see him for what he was and the one to hand him the key to ending a child's torment. Funny how the understood each other at the most fundamental level. Yes he can be an insufferable ass but he does care for her deeply. That mat be the key to their salvation and ours.

Excellent story. I would have loved to have seen more of Barrons' thoughts in the series, especially the rather endless introspection of Mac's in Shadowfever.
