| MadSockMonkey chapter 12 . 1/8/2012 Oh My God. Wow. I love this story so much, and the historical references are an epic win. And the ending is...wow. I'm happy for Gilbert, but I don't want my Gilby to diee! ;u; But then, I cannot imagine another ending. It is so beautiful, though in a sad way. I mean, I swear my heart lurched as I was reading it, right up to the end. Well worth the wait, I'd say. FNo doubt about it. :O This is pure awesome. |
| Purple Sky Juliet chapter 12 . 1/8/2012 Oh wow. I honestly thought he was going to make it. The analogy to the garden of Eden was strong, along with the "freedom never tasted so sweet" being repeated at the end was a good choice as well. The scene with Ludwig and Gilbert on the wall was good as well; I think having Russia and America shooting at each other with them in the middle fit the Cold War in the scene the world was stuck between them, although for historically accuracy's sake no shot were ever actually fired during the collapse of the wall and the reunification (Russia really was kind of just like "whatever" at that point), but for the dramatic elements that you'd had throughout it worked. I'm sad he didn't make it in the end, but overall a pretty good ending. Nice job! |

Wherever you mean 'were', you always put 'where', which can be quite jarring, lol. This is by no means a criticism, just something to bear in mind for the future. :) |
