I like how older Naruto is helping his alternate younger self. I completely disagree with Jiraiya's assessment of that this Naruto's abandonment and neglect was best. He does not know the other Naruto's life nor the fact that Minato did not die sealing the Kyuubi or why he had a hard life. It was wrong of him to presume or condone young Naruto's abuse was better for him-even praising that mentality that allows him to forgive Sasuke for nearly killing him if it weren't for the Kyuubi or consider Sasuke's callous way of treating him "friendship". That's not right, that's brain washing and taking advantage of a vulnerable child for Konoha's good. I'm the glad the other Naruto is sharing the wealth.

The whole idea of Uchiha disowning "half-breeds" born into their clan is not entirely surprising. But I was wondering, if they encourage mixed breeding to reduce inbreeding (even if only minutely) why would they then ostracise the child and anyone "harbouring" them? It wouldn't make sense to even remotely encourage the mixing if they didn't even want the offspring around at all. And then there's the fact that a lot of Uchiha never activate their sharingan anyway, and also, any ostracised offspring would then increase the risk of passing along the sharingan outside of the clan. Clans keep their techniques painfully secret from all other ninjas, their kekkei genkai even more so. I would think they wouldn't want to risk anyone else getting a hold of it.

Is it just me or does your story for some reason run on an unnecessarily slow tempo?

You know, I find it hard to believe that Naruto and Itari are engaged, let alone the fact that they supposedly love each other. She's treats him with contempt, granted she probably feels betrayed that he left the village and her to become a Nukenin, but she could still show some sort of positive reaction. Then there's the fact that while it's a hot idea, she slept with Mei. Sure they promised not to cheat on each other with the opposite gender, but cheating is cheating, even if Naruto doesn't really seem bothered by it. It doesn't exactly speak well of their commitment to each other. Why even bother being engaged if that's the case?

So while I like the idea of a Naruto/Female Itachi pairing like the one in Breaking Ties for example, I don't like yours. The story itself is well written, and interesting as a whole. But the Naruto/Itari thing kind of ruined it for me.

Though the poisoned ramen idea was pretty damn funny.
