Dang... That was really good. Perfectly in character, and the way the situation escalated was really well done. There seems to be a distinct lack of good Freckle stories out there, so this was refreshing. Keep it up!

can we see a short sequel to this? Fantastic! Can you even imagine the face that Aunt Nina would make? God I half think she would faint iffin she saw Freckle holding a gun that had just shot a man in the back of the head.

I'm catholic and over here, we haev Friday night church. And some others, the whole episcopal calendar is kinda wierd. Good story though.

As a cradle Catholic who still goes to church, I can inform you with some accuracy that we do, in fact, have Wednesday night prayer group supper. And Friday night bean soup after the Way of the Cross during Lent...and donuts after morning Mass...and the occasional luau in the church courtyard when our pastor is feeling particularly festive for no apparent reason...

Yeah, we like food.

Anyway, this was very well-written. Freckle's characterization is spot-on, and seeing him fight with something other than the "Now I have a machine gun. GWAHAHAHAHAHA!" shtick is a treat. Keep up the good work!.

Sorry to inform you, but your suspicions were correct. Catholics don't have Wednesday dinners...unless...maybe it was a Holy Day...?
